I was actually thinking how large Bowie looks, especially for 12 weeks.

If you get a chance, post a picture of Bowie and his sister playing together.
Hello Iblis!

Thanks for asking.

Well I have been only 80% the last few days.

Had a minor cold that takes the edge off life.

Also I have been wrestling with issues involving Windows 7.

Installing the system (easy) and twigging all my stuff to work on it.

Unfortunately I have a lot of old stuff and no Windows 7 drivers.

With a few items the Vista driver works well, but not everything obliges!

Then I tried networking a printer. And the actual network in W7 is a piece of cake, can be done in about two minutes for the two PCs.

But Microsoft seems to have issues with networking printers across W7. (Lots o'guys on Google bad vibes).

Compounding the problem is the fact the printer is hardly new and I don't have W7 drivers!

Are you still awake?
Ha! ...yeah you nearly lost me at the networking problems. :-) I'm still content with XP.

I'm also struggling to handle Melbourne's winter cold and dreaming of a warmer climate.
Hello Iblis.

Ah yes I tend to send people to sleep.

XP is still very popular and these days is stable for sure.

Right this instant I'm installing XP on a nice but slightly oldish laptop.

I have both Vista and W7 on my PC.

Vista is excellent as I can get almost all the drivers I need for this slightly aging PC.

W7 is great but I cannot use it to it's fullest.

I need a better, newer one. But that ain't gonna happen for . . .
Why bother with W7, Peter? ...isn't the space you would save with a single OS installed worth uninstalling W7?
i hear windows 7 is heaps better than vista. i am still using xp for now <img src='http://www.melbournechat.org/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Tongue' /> i also have one install of linux ubuntu but i am not crazy about it. that is on an older pc.
You can try out ubuntu as a non-installed version (just off a CD) to see if you like it. My experience so far as that it is a fair bit of trouble learning how to use it. It is free but windows xp is pretty cheap if you buy an OEM version. I presume windows 7 does not cost much more.
Yeah some say you need to buy hardware and others don';t seem to care.

I check my prices here:

Ditto, Glen.

I've already had an intense run along the beach and about to hit the showers followed by a massage, my Wednesdays mornings are invigorating.
