' /> i also have one install of linux ubuntu but i am not crazy about it. that is on an older pc.
You can try out ubuntu as a non-installed version (just off a CD) to see if you like it. My experience so far as that it is a fair bit of trouble learning how to use it. It is free but windows xp is pretty cheap if you buy an OEM version. I presume windows 7 does not cost much more.
Yeah some say you need to buy hardware and others don';t seem to care.
