If I lose just six seats I will lose this election and Jeremy Corbyn will be sitting down to negotiate with Europe:

<p style="margin-left:40px;">I think it's time for an early election Smile

Whaaaaaaaaa a vote a week?

Is that like drinkapintamilkaday?

"It's time" was the catch cry for the most disfunctional government this country has ever, ever, had - and you want to go back there?

Remember Dr Jim, and Junie and RFX???
Thank you for acknowledging Tony Abbott's catch cry of "it's time" resulting in the most dysfunctional government this country has ever, ever, had.

Tony Abbott says it's time to 'choose change' > http://www.theaustralian.com.au/national...1497310187

How often do you vote for the weak?

Quote:Whaaaaaaaaa

LOL! Did you just overreact then?

The conservatives called an early election - I said that was a good thing, so did you at the time.

So why don't we have one here? Share the love?

Maybe a warm cuppa?

apintamilkaday?

I remember Kate Beckinsale...  spilling... yep, yep  :notworthy:  :notworthy:<span style="font-family:'lucida sans unicode', 'lucida grande', sans-serif;"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">

OK so - as predicted the massive victory for the centrist REM party in France and the massive humiliation of the Socialist party demonstrates the swing away from the left in Europe.

This post is merely an observation of the facts.

"This slimmed-down Queen's speech shows a Government on the edge,"

"Having dropped everything from the dementia tax to fox hunting I assume the only reason they have proposed a space bill is so they can shoot their manifesto into space and pretend it never existed,"

There is a point to this post?

It is merely the anti conservative bias illustrated once more?

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Three out of three wins for the Republicans in the US.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm - no sign of your actual voter backlash against the Republican President Trump.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm  the "News media" still seem to be getting it wrong - how long can this go on?

PS I include the vitriolic anti Trump ABC in that.

Well put it this way. It was a far better speech than the garbage coming out of Pauline Hanson's mouth of late.

It was posted partly because I thought it was funny and partly because it was a refreshing break away from all the anti lefty bias that passes off as posts. ( which are also pretty funny.... sometimes ) :pacman:

LOL

Well done the conservatives getting Education funding reform through.

That's good for the country, now, sort out the Education industry with all the BS that comes with it and focus on the product - educated kids - rather than the process - self interested educators, Catholic Education hierarchy and the like.

Two of my grandkids go to a great catholic school  - but why some senior catholic education folks have to threaten the government for improving their funding makes me question their motives - are they opposition politicians in drag, or do they want fair funding across the board?

Rhetorical question there.

So OK just tell me why Union members are voting with their feet, clearly they have dissimilar opinions to you as to the efficacy of todays Unions and their elitist leadership.

In todays Australia the law has taken over much of the ground that the Unions of the past had to address.

That's a fact and the need for their help has diminished accordingly - Be interesting to know the relative employment numbers of direct Union representatives and Union Super fund staffing.

There has been a steady change of emphasis fronm Worker representation to money making and big business.

Some cannot see the irony of this.

If dispassionate examination is to be called union bashing, then there's something being hidden.

The law protects workers and nonworkers alike.

Question to you guys: Is Menzies a conservative, or a liberal?

What do you guys reckon?
Quote:Opps Myrantz!

Neither he is dead!
Wow.. That's pretty deep.  :laugh:

I reckon he was a Liberal, a conservative liberal.

Liberals by definition are reformists, conservative are reluctant reformists - they want to reform slowly. (IMO)

"Full-time jobs surge keeps unemployment near four-year low"
<p style="font-size:16px;font-family:merriweather, georgia, serif;color:rgb(29,29,29);">"Australia has achieved its ninth straight month of job gains, with 14,000 new jobs added to the economy in June.

<p style="font-size:16px;font-family:merriweather, georgia, serif;color:rgb(29,29,29);">Full-time employment grew by 62,000 jobs, while part-time employment decreased by 48,000. Full-time jobs have now increased by 115,400 positions in the past two months - the strongest streak of full-time job gains in 29 years."

<p style="font-size:16px;font-family:merriweather, georgia, serif;color:rgb(29,29,29);">

<p style="font-size:16px;font-family:merriweather, georgia, serif;color:rgb(29,29,29);">So we have some significant and popular gains to be thankful for - Border security, Education funding reform, more jobs.

<p style="font-size:16px;font-family:merriweather, georgia, serif;color:rgb(29,29,29);">

<p style="font-size:16px;font-family:merriweather, georgia, serif;color:rgb(29,29,29);">Nonetheless we seem to have to be bombarded  by negative  non issues - Tony isn't happy, Bill has gone missing in inaction, the Greens have due diligence problems, penalty rate whinging, and on it goes.

<p style="font-size:16px;font-family:merriweather, georgia, serif;color:rgb(29,29,29);">Maybe accentuating the positive will get a guernsey one day, but I wouldn't hold my breath waiting.

<p style="font-size:16px;font-family:merriweather, georgia, serif;color:rgb(29,29,29);">

<p style="font-size:16px;font-family:merriweather, georgia, serif;color:rgb(29,29,29);">It's there if you look!

<p style="font-size:16px;font-family:merriweather, georgia, serif;color:rgb(29,29,29);">

Well I agree with you about the penalty rate whinging.

Clearly they aren't increasing unemployment so it's time for the right wingers to stop complaining about it.

They are there and are accentuated by positive employment figures. A good thing.

As for Tony Abbott... well, only Tony can rectify that. His strategy is pretty funny. Beat Malcolm Turnbull by sabotaging his own Govt. Bill Shorten becomes the next PM and Tony can do what Tony does best - become opposition leader again and block as many Govt policies in the senate as he can. Put the NO back into the Noalition Smile

To be positive, the Libs should just preselect someone else for that seat because clearly Abbott ain't on their side.

But I am related to a few folks in that electorate - and Tony apparently walks on water.

That said - the motivation of a press that accentuates and advertises undermining behaviour from anyone is part of the negative culture that we currently see.

Turning off the news is one of the first steps to a less irritated life!! :Hug:

Quote:Hi Aloy...

Turning off the "news" will give some peace of mind, especially as you will not know about the approaching N bomb.

You will get peace of death if it lands nearby.

Hey I have lived my whole life in the shadow of nuclear weapons, the "Ban the bomb" folks all wanted me to be afraid of them. Tongueeace:

The nearest thing I had to a shortened life was work or vehicle related.

So I could have worried about the bomb - but happily I didn't :dance:  :dance:

Probablity or liklihood is a pretty fair way to evaluate the threats that the fearmongers broadcast. :Hug:

Most of us accept that we will die - one day!
