I know the horrible feeling that is inside you.

It's a feeling of deep loss and you wonder if it will ever leave you.

But it does eventually. I'm sure you know that anyway.

In your case the timing could not be worse. Gosh you are lucky to be at work and not on holidays.

I know you don't feel like working but it is the best thing at the moment.
That's what they say, however i really don't wana be here ... i want to be home or with those who DO actually love and care for me. And yes, im glad it happened now and not later- that was a choice i had to make.

Well not too long to wait.

Will you stay with your parents for a few days?

It seems as if your BF was more interested in his work? He's the loser, you live to love another day.

Believe me there are plenty of guys who would love you for a GF. And treat you well.

Of course you don't have to answer these questions.
I live with my mum ....

Yah he seems much more interested in work ... i knew he was busy and heavily into work when i got together with him BUT if you like someone - or LOVE them as he'd said he did, he would WANT to make time for me!

Thanks Peter, that's sweet - i hope i am more lucky next time around.

Questions ... wasn't there just one!? lol

How many questions?

I'm a bit like Glen, I/we are mathematically challenged.

Oh perhaps the breakup will shock him back to planet earth?
hahah

i don't think so. he has not contacted me yet anyways.... and i think he'll just move onto the next girl and end up doing the same thing over and over.

Hi Fellas,

Sorry to trouble you all with my woes and dampen ur holiday spirit.

Just out of a 6 yr relationship, the sad thing is that we were married for a year. Things, circumstances, people change - i would say more of my fault that led to this. I wasnt prepared at all. Crushing, like life has lost its meaning and become colorless. Had a lonely christmas sitting alone, i guess the same goes for new year. I am even not in contact with my friends cos of my sudden break up, wanna start all over making new friends.

No more LOVE, just simple friendship

No not at all kingofkings ... vent away ... i'm more than happy to listen.

I'm very sorry to hear that, i went through something similar a few months ago - wasn't married, but was engaged and had lived with the guy for 7 years. I know how hard it is, and like you i lost all of my friends through the breakup and all i want is to get some good new friends. I'm slowly gaining new acquaintances and friends... i actually have a coffee meet group that had a first meet last month and am hoping to get a new one going son - was hoping for next week but no one has shown interest.

Tell us a bit about yourself kingofkings ... (are you new to the forums? if so WELCOME)

I have seen your invite to a second coffee meet.

I guessed that you posted it just before you broke up with your BF?

Because of that I did not reply. I just guessed that you would not be up for something like that as yet.

Anyway I have an appointment in city in early January. Not sure when however.

Maybe a good idea to follow up your "coffee" post with another to let everyone know you still want to proceed!
Heya, nar i would wana get together with people even MORE now i've had the breakup. Best to keep busy and i LOVE being around people and i'll be quite isolated without my BF around now.

Ahh thanks for the tip Peter ... i'll head there right now!

Greetings Peter and Kara,

Wishing you guys a prosperous new year.

To be honest, when i think of telling about me, i still keep on thinking about my ex. cos it was a long time that we had been together.

Anyway, i'l try.

I have some sort of identity crisis, although i am from INDIA. No one believes me, its due to my colour, skin etc. I have asked if i was from Samoa, new zealand(maudi), japan, china, thailand, vietnam, singapore, hawaii, etc. My great ancestors were from Nepal, Tibet, Thailand.

I am a student here been here for about 2 years now. Got married in old treasury building(... again i seem to be coming to talk about my ex).

Web designing, animation was my hobby before i got involved in relationship.

Movies : thriller, suspense, action, martial arts, comedy but not HORROR.

BOOKS : better to leave em alone.

Sport : Not really, used to play cricket for Box hill suburb then i quit.

Music : depends on my mood.. from oldies to new ones.

Profession : marketing

Study : degree in english hons, now hospitality.

love to take pics too - before used to trek on base camp of mt everest now i got beer belly, love nature, greenery .....

Visited country side in melbourne bendigo, ballarat, warnambool by car - lovedd the route.

besides that i just love messing around with my computer....

Non smoker...

Non alcoholic just a pint of beer everyday before.... but ever since my life changed my taste buds seemed to like red wine... so a bottle or two goes down every couple of days.... YAY.. today is one.

Thanks! You too King!

I know what you mean, you'll have a transition of finding your identity again ... i think i'm only just getting a hold of mine now. You sorta lose yourself when you're in such a long term relationship - especially an unhealthy one (like mine was) You'll get there. Best way is to try and find friends that'll just accept you for who you are.... don't have to put on a brave face or change any part about you.... that's what i'm trying hard to do.

If you say you're from India people should take ya word for it SHEESH .... so you've been in Australia for 2 years now?

Hobbies ... Well perhaps you should get back into the animation... hobbies are a good distraction and they'll help you find your true self again.

Movies ... Not horror aye!? yah my ex (the long term one, not the one i just broke up with) was heavily into Horror, i liked it years ago but we watched so much of it that it tends to be underwhelming - quite over it now. I do like a good Thriller tho ... and all the other genre's you mentioned too... a bit of a sucker for romance comedies at the moment. haha.

Books ... yah never been a big reader. Only read about 5 books in my adulthood... LOTRs Trilogy, half of the Hobbit (then got bored) and some Jules Hardy novels.... i prefer to watch a film or do something else.

Sport ... Yah not into sport either actually. People turn into tools when they spectate too - brings out the worst in people i think.

Music ... good to have a range of taste - my taste is prob too narrow! lol

Profession ... do you enjoy it?

Study ... i never studied ... Hospitality aye!? were you hoping to make a career in the industry?

Photography ... AHHHH i TOTALLY get what you mean, i LOVE taking photos, LOVE nature, Greenery, great outdors - tho i was never a trek kinda person i gotta admit.

driving ... i LOVE going for random drives too ... though i don't drive so i rely on others to take me, but when i eventually get one i'll be doing lots of long drives i'd imagine. Great Ocean Road drive is awesome!

I'm non-smoker too. Smoked when i was younger, gave up for my ex tho ... and i couldn't really do it anymore if i wanted to coz i get health problems from it. I rarely drink .... but if i start getting a bit more social i wouldn't mind having a few every couple weeks ... might be nice. I like red wine too, i can never finish a bottle tho so i never end up buying it. I tend to go for Cyder these days ... mmmmmmm.

Thanks for sharing all that with us King =)

I'm so confused, sorry guys. I clicked on a link and posted a comment, but it's totally inappropriate to the forum that it's in. Sorry.

Kara - time heals all wounds. I'm a great believer in the notion that "everything happens for a reason". The reason may not be evident yet, or even in the near future but one day you'll have a thought "hey, if I hadn't.....(done whatever)... I wouldn't be here in this place/situation right now" and you'll think back to now, and wonder why you waited so long to sort the bad situation out and make that ever-so-hard decision.

We can help to keep you company while you go through the worst of it - which is now - so just keep logging in.
