Stupid Question, Stupid Answer
#21
Thanks for the vote of confidence with the book.

Love The Beatles... (Shhh... Don't tell anyone.)

Sorry don't know Red Ryder at all. But he sounds perfect.

"Does praying work?" you ask.... Um, er, well... I have been praying to be a witer since I was 11 years old. So it must.

Stupid question.

Do you have to go to church to pray?

"He who has not experienced, need not judge" One of my own. Smile

Peter, Peter, Peter... My daughter just shouted out to me, that the moral to that story, is don't go to church. So I am sticking to that statement... Haha

All writers should receive their guernsey after their second book... This way it shows, that they are a good witer or not. We wouldn't want to waist a guernsey on a one hit wonder.

I have a question:

Apart from these forums have you ever written your own jokes?

"He who has not experienced, need not judge" One of my own. Smile
Reply

Well the jokes are funny none the less... My girl; intelligent. Well yes, you are not wrong there. She loves to study religion. Not that she is interested in becoming a nun or anything worldly like that... Hahaha.

Sorry sir... As an ex editor, I should have picked up my err, however I am not currently employed as an editor, therefore I am entitled to a few mistakes here and there... Well that's the excuse I am using and I am sticking to it... Hahaha. Now that was a waste of time... <img src='http://www.melbournechat.org/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Rolleyes' />

Question... Do you believe that footballers or sports champions deserve to publish there own fiction stories because they are famous, but make more errs than my little "waist"?

"He who has not experienced, need not judge" One of my own. Smile

Sorry, I guess I wasn't quite clear on the question... What I meant was entertainers, be they footballers or TV presenters and even though they can't write, get books published, due to their professional status, not for their acheivements or biographies. (fiction tales etc...) And er, um... I'd rather keep my waist out of the conversation please. (You are correct about the fiction... hahaha) Oh and I will hold on to that shotgun, just in case of another comment. Hahaha

I have never been a grand lover of conversing about religion and so on... It just seems to get everyone all worked up. I try to avoid the conversation. (Whimp! I know, but my girl took all my strength <img src='http://www.melbournechat.org/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Rolleyes' /> )

And yes, I love that Yellow Pages commercial. But no, I don't know who made the statement "It's just a joke Joyce!". Actually I feel rather embarrassed knowing that he is a Victorian <img src='http://www.melbournechat.org/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/ohmy.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':o' />

Question: Which famous author/poet wrote this line... "It is best to love wisely, no doubt; but to love foolishly is better than not to be able to love at all."?

Hahaha. I know it's a hard industry to break into, I am not a stranger, to knockbacks. This is not my first try. Roughly 20 odd years ago, I dropped a childrens manuscript and a large number of poems, into a publisher... Only to have them returned 6 months later... This happened time and time again. I can't even tell you how many knockbacks I have had. But I am not a quitter, I don't give up that easy and this particular novel is different... Very different indeed.!

The late great Graham, I should have known. Actually I can almost hear him say it as we speak. <img src='http://www.melbournechat.org/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/huh.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Huh' />

Football... Um, er, don't hate me, but as you may have guessed by now, I dislike the sport, it's rough and takes up too much of my time. When I was 19yrs old, I went to the football with my partner at the time and one of my sisters. I had my partner shouting in one ear and my sister in the other. I was so bored and decided to write a few poems. 3 out of the 8 of them, did however score me a minor prize in a writing competition. But they had nothing to do with football.

Question:

Do you know who Buster Keton was?

M & M's.... Hands... Wasn't it... Or was it?

I might consider publishing my work privately if it doesn't take off the normal way. But after I have tried different publishers first. <img src='http://www.melbournechat.org/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Smile' />

You're wife sounds scary... Remind me to never cross her path. Haha.

In reference to Buster Keaton, I have watched a few of his movies when I was a wee young lass... I can't for the life of me remember what the films were, just that it put me and my father in fits of laughter. Ah, the good old days. <img src='http://www.melbournechat.org/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Smile' />

I'd hardly be normal if I didn't know who moon face was. I grew up with him. I loved him most in The Don Lane show. He did a great Demis Roussos.

Question: What daytime show did Bert host?

Melt in the mouth of course... My brain is melting. Been a long day.

Bert hosted The Morning Show, which I believe later changed it's name to Good Morning Australia

I Know Dennis Walter... "Impossible Dream." I think he was most famous for singing. (But my memory fails me) I don't know however who it was who helped him.

Stupid Question:

What year did Graham "The King" Kenedy die?

Hey again.

Oddly enough I only ever watched The Morning Show when I was at home from work. (sick or holidays)

Darn it, I should have known it was Liberace, that would be something he would do. D. Walter had the most unusual baratone voice I have heard.

She who knows best, may actually be right. It hasn't been all that long since G. Kenedy passed. All I remember was Bert did a sattelite appearance as he couldn't make it to the funeral. Which I found odd, due to the fact that they were close. I believe he was doing a stage performance at the time and couldn't just leave it to travel.

Movie made in Parkes NSW... Wouldn't have a clue.

Mr J,

Hahaha... How's that for formal. <img src='http://www.melbournechat.org/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Smile' />

(Let's see if I can continue formal)

Due to circumstances beyond my control. I failed to attend a viewing of the movie "Kenny." However... Argh! This is too hard....

I never saw the movie ok. <img src='http://www.melbournechat.org/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Smile' /> So have no idea if Warnie was in there or not.

The Parkes movie... Um, was it The Dish!?

Steak and vegies for the family and soup for me... Have a toothache. Yuk! <img src='http://www.melbournechat.org/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Sad' />

What fabulous meal are you having tonight?

Hey Peter,

Yay, I got full marks for The Dish!

Shane Jacobson, not Warnie! I'll have to rent the video now.

Toothache improved? Just a little, but highly medicated - Ugh!

Yum, salmon and hot veggies... Didn't know they had such a wide menu.

I make sure I save all my digital photos onto cd's... Actually hubby looks after that sort of thing. The photos I upload from my phone, I save to my USB stick.

Stupid Question

How many times a day would you visit this site?

Hi there, lovely to see you. Hope you are feeling better. How did you incorporate all the flowers on your photo?

We were actually stooged a couple of years ago... Someone virused us and we hadn't saved our photos... However we managed to save them before the computer shut down. So we don't trust the computer now. We save everything. Only a few years ago, when I developed photos the old way, I would take duplicates of everything. We ended up with hundreds of photos all over the house, so I stopped. Only last year, I cut up some of the duplicates and placed them in a bag. I was going to organise a portrait with all the family. (Faces only) It makes a very good gift idea, but I never completed it.

Your stupid question has me stumped... Teeth ache I think. I don't know, I am so drowsy on medication I'll agree to anything right now... Hahahaha.

Stupid question

You funny pics of you sleeping and the Mrs happy - Why is that? I mean why is she happy you are sleeping?

I know, my laptop can do the same thing. But I never used it. Also it's not working right now... So can't.. <img src='http://www.melbournechat.org/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Sad' />

So how did we both get the "toothaches" wrong... Glolly we have more than 100years between us and we couldn't work it out. Hee hee.

Dreaming of your Mrs - young and pretty... I bet she still is a looker and you're jealous right? Hahaha.

To answer your stupid question... I bet it's because they want to see who they can bowl over... I have a feeling they place bets!

Ok here's a real stupid question.

Hi again Peter,

I did remove the battery from the laptop. But it didn't fix the problem... Oddly enough, I checked all of the USB ports and one was mangeld... Can't imagine why. I'm usually quite careful. Anyway, I unpluged it and used tweezers to fix it. Oddly enough. I turned the computer on and it worked. Have no idea if that was the problem. But now it works. Go figure. Now I am glad I didn't take it in for repairs because if that was all that they had to fix, they would have cost me a fortune. My female intuition fixed the problem. (First time in my life. It usually fails me. <img src='http://www.melbournechat.org/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Rolleyes' /> )

So odd about men... They have a perfectly gorgeous wife at home and still have a roaming eye. <img src='http://www.melbournechat.org/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/pacman.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':pacman:' />

In reference to the stupid answer... I won't sell myself short, there are more stupid answers to come. For instance to answer your next question... What would the guys and dolls do in between nabbing losers at train stations? They'd put on a caberet floor show for the worthy passengers.. hahaha... Don't worry the answers can get worse than this. <img src='http://www.melbournechat.org/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> <img src='http://www.melbournechat.org/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

Why is do people prefer the elevator than the travelators?

Hey there Peter,

Don't know how the USB socket was damaged. But I was stressing out, thinking it was a virus... Grrr... Wasted 5 days of work. I did do some on my son's computer, but it's not the same as one's own. <img src='http://www.melbournechat.org/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/im Not Worthy.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':notworthy:' />

Hey! In reference to those movies stars you speak of... Us normal women are on the other end of that stick. I often wonder how these famous movis starts end up with the toy boys. (Not that I am into the young fellows. I like my man to be mature <img src='http://www.melbournechat.org/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Smile' /> )

I prefer tralelators as well... But I remember when I was pregnant with my son. I had my 1 yr old daughter in a stroller and I was at Parliament station. I tried to take an elevator up, as I had her in the pram. I was bowled over twice by big strong men in business suits, who forced there way past me, in the elevator. After waiting for the elevator twice. I tried a 3rd time, only to be almost knocked to the ground before I even made it to the doors. Eventually I gave up. I took the baby out of the stroller... Carried her on my hip... And folded the stroller up and held it on a travelator. Not once but twice as our train line is on the bottom level. Needless to say, after that incident, I never took the stroller into the city with me. I held my bub instead.

"Queen of stupid answers"... You have no idea. Here comes another.

Those elevators you speak of also goes sideways, frontways and backways... Oh no, sorry that's the Wonk-a-vator... Hahaha.

Stupid Question:

What story was the Wonk-a-vator from?

Ah -ha ha ha... You have me in fits here with the fit fellow from the gym. Nope! 80 is not mature enough. Do men ever mature anyway? (Oh, I am going to be in trouble with that line... hahaha) Maybe 91... hahaha.

It was a bad experience. But you should have seen the looks on the faces of the last crowd of men, who nearly knocked me down, when I said. "It's ok, I am just a heavily pregnant lady with a pram and a baby, I'll just take the escalators.." Just before the doors had shut. The guilt they must have felt, whilst that elevator was going up, or not! <img src='http://www.melbournechat.org/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/Talking Ear Off.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':Talking:' />

Ah yes... It was in the book/movie of Willie Wonka and the Chocolate factory. I remember reading the book as a young lass and watching the films.

Question:

How many Wonka films were made?

Hahaha.... The more mature the better... hahaha <img src='http://www.melbournechat.org/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/fishing.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':fishing:' />

There were to Wonka movies... With Gene Wilder as Willie Wonka and the modern version, was Johnny Depp as Willie Wonka... But I didn't take well to the modern version.<img src='http://www.melbournechat.org/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/ohmy.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':o' />

I noticed that... I thought it was just me, we can't seem to talk in elevators anymore... What is with that? That's it... The next elevator I travel in, I am going to ask how the person next to me is... They probably think I am weird. Um, well I am, but that's beside the point. <img src='http://www.melbournechat.org/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Tongue' />

Your theory on beer and wine, may just be true. Those darn men... I bet if a married man met some gorgeous chick at a local bar/pub and she asked him to buy her a glass of wine... I bet, just bet he does! <img src='http://www.melbournechat.org/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/ohmy.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':o' />

Ah now about "grow up an

So you are telling me I have to wait a good 8 or more years before you grow up???? I'm patient, not stupid. No... Grow up now! (Pushy are I <img src='http://www.melbournechat.org/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Smile' /> )

Ah to answer your stupid question... Maybe the woman needs to look her best before she leaves the house, just in case she meets one of those married men, who will buy her a glass of wine... hahahahahahaha

Don't change your maturity due to the "Sir" status... It will not become you... Just be yourself.

Bank balances and posture... Golly you certainly are fussy for a man... I thought you fellows, are happy with tassel flinging belly dancers, with big flabby bellies.

Odd saying... Rude health being, good health... One would think rude would be bad or ill. I didn't know he had some well trained nurses caring for him... Well that should keep him well. Cheekie, no doubt, but well, none the less.

To answer your question about the Colonel... Well, maybe, that is the highest standard he can get to in his country. I would know, really. Sorry, you've stumped me on this one.
