Casual Coffee Anyone?
#1
Looking to start a monthly or bi-monthly coffee/cafe meet up...

Perhaps at the Swanston Street Starbucks (or somewhere nearby) so it's neutral and central.

Anyone interested?

A little about me:

I'm a friendly 24 YO Victorian born woman, love photography, nature, listening to music and spending time with loved ones and friends - a great listener.

I recently broke up with a partner and fiance of 7 years .... i lost all my friends through the break up and am now finding it hard trying to make new friends - i really don't know where to begin looking.

I recently met another guy, but he's very busy and i am struggling to amuse myself in between the days i see him.

I'm just after some company to fill in my time and loneliness... THE MORE THE MERRY!

ANY TAKERS?

Looks like I'm the only one who will reply for you!

Not a good omen is it?

Your offer to have a "Melb Chat" meet in the city is a good start.

I hope some members in your age group will respond.

As far as I have seen there are no stupid/idiot people haunting this site so it should work out fine, if it happens.

Do you work during the day? And see your new friend at night?

Did you see the musician lady on another thread, looking for young company?

She is in the "Melbourne Life" section, under the name Queen of .......

I appreciate your replies PeterJMelb <img src='http://www.melbournechat.org/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='<_<' />

I hope so too ... i don't mind who comes, they don't need to be my age - just after some company - but hoping for at least 3 or 4 to come - wishful thinking right!? lol

Nar i work week nights, i only get to see my new man on weekends mostly, sometimes we see each other very late at night when i finish work - but not very often. Do you work PeterJMelb?

musician lady aye... i'll check it out <img src='http://www.melbournechat.org/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Smile' /> thanks for the tip.

This sounds like a great idea - I'd love to meet you!

I work casually in childcare at the moment, so would be free during certain days for a catch up. What kind of work do you do?

Good on you for trying to meet new people, I know how hard it can be!

well, hmm - im 22, live in the south east, was a paramedic, now looking to teaching next year or the year after. I love summer, enjoy being outdoors, music, shopping, gossip and catching up with mates!

the job market is impossible at the moment - unless you're interested in childcare - they seem to be desperate!!

Oh cool, thanks for that, I'm 24 live in eastern suburbs, love photography, music and the outdoors also. Like the odd bit of gossip and chat ... shopping i like on occasion - especially if i actually have money to spend or if it's just some retail therapy rather than the necessary birthday or christmas shopping! lol I would LOVE catching up with mates .... if i had any! LOL

If only i had Childcare Quals! lol

Swanston Street isn't too convenient for me. How about Dongsishitiao Station or maybe Chaoyangmen? I'm pretty flexible on time. <img src='http://www.melbournechat.org/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Rolleyes' />

I detect a hint of sarcasm... an effort over text based dialogue. <img src='http://www.melbournechat.org/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Wink' />

Do all the attendees live opposite sides of the city...? 'cause we could gather attendee locations and determine are more central meeting point.

All attendees - i love that! LOL ... well we have one that is a maybe and one that was initially interested - and yourself.

Well i live outer eastern suburbs ... and i don't drive <img src='http://www.melbournechat.org/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> City CBD is normally a good option as it is central and easy for transport reasons... and it is well populated for folks such as i who are not used to meeting strangers LMAO!
