I'm expecting t-pot to arrive 30 minutes late, alone and with an ever so slight disheveled look about her.

Very successful gathering... we should extend the next considering today's seeming cut short early, maybe by including more activities.

I'm in Melbourne once a month... perhaps the next meet can be arranged then.

Was nice to meet everyone!

Afterwards we ended up going car shopping and my gf is now a happy car owner. We bought a Ford Fiesta subject to RACV inspection. Hopefully that will all go OK.

Cheers, glen

hmmm, well the whole point of the gathering were just to be a coffee/hot beverage type thing ... mostly because it's easy & nice and cheap for everyone ... perhaps every once in a while we could add sometime special to it, but i think a cafe meet is a nice way for us all to just get some simple company and get to know one another.

Yah, a month sounds like a good time to make another coffee meet ... perhaps in the city next time <img src='http://www.melbournechat.org/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Smile' />
Hi Kara.

I know too well the "not hot enough coffee syndrome".

It bugs me.

Maybe it's lazy baristas (spelling?) who don't reheat/froth the milk left standing from the previous order.

Some baristas say that the milk should not be very hot.

Sounds like another Marilyn M movie "Some like it hot".

I never figgered out what the "it" was in that movie!
No no no Peter - not ouch HOT, chilli HOT - this was a Chilly Hot Chocolate that i had on the weekend at Theobroma... Coffee is not meant to be too hot ... in face i normally have to wait a good 5 minutes or so before i even drink it coz they normally make it too hot. If the water is too hot it burns the coffee and you end up with a bitter coffee flavour.

Chilli Coffee aarrrrgggghhhhhhh, no don't do that to good coffee. It's like mixing Coke with good scotch.

I'm glad you managed the get together, that's a good forecast for the next one.

Hey, when and where's the next coffee meet? I've just finished another uni subject today so have a bit more time available <img src='http://www.melbournechat.org/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/Talking Ear Off.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Wink' /> .
Hello Vik.

Cricket is good. (So is football, both codes).

So if you are new to AFL then you cannot be living in Melbourne for very long.

Tell us a bit.

Where were you raised?

How? Why did you come to Melbourne?

Anyway enjoy the forum. There are many good people posting.

Just watch out for Glen, he's the boss!
Hi i do really agree this place is having a big passion for ALF and indeed i am gonna b getting involved into it with time .And about me my name is Vik . Born and raised up in India and just came here like 6 months for my further studies and currently living in reservoir and ofcouse i am having fun living at one of the beautiful places on the earth

Heya Suze ... Looks like we might have one in the works for about a months time. Nothing in the words before then as yet - it's rather busy time of year so i would expect it would be hard to get everyone there. I know i have a lot on esp on the coming few weekends but if anyone's up for a Monday/Thursday get together i might be able to organise something sooner (maybe) Otherwise Suze, i'd be up for a solo casual coffee/tea sometime if you're eve just keen for some company.
