The Libs will easily do it. They already have more LH seats than the ALP and they poll better in all the marginal seats. Put the glasses down.

An old saying I picked up from Allan Moffat once.. the harder you work the luckier you get.

I think Tony will lose because the policies released so far all sound pretty lame. I heard on the radio the Libs are thinking of splitting the Tax Office. Surely there are more important things to worry about!

Phony Tony will definitely win with the help of some bad ass fat mammas

Yes I will be happy when it is over.

In the name of fairness.
As one who is now unemployed due to the state Gov here in Victoria I now work over seas but like to see Melbourne Chat and visit. Tafe will die under the libs. As always the Libs will cut funding to education.

It seems clear to me that the Liberal Tories will win and my prediction is by a landslide.
The Murdoch press has launched a huge campaign and the ALP despite very impressive reforms will simply not get a chance. The Prime Ministers speech today was brilliant but I doubt many even saw it. Say goodbye to action on climate change, broad band and progression.Â

I am amazed that Tony is having such an easy run in the polls. He hasn't announced any policies thus far!
I won't be voting for him.  cheers, glen

Of course Glen I am pleased you are not voting for him. But regardless of who one votes for I believe its a very sad election. Some will be celebrating...it will be interesting to see how people feel as they observe the real impact of the changes.
When Howard won although I disliked him intensely I respected his position as Prime Minister. We have not seen that attitude for six years. The media and even the public have acted shamefully. Its not the Australia I love. Change? Yes but not progressive. The ALP is not good at self promotion but if you look at the remarkable legislation that was passed by this administration in a hostile environment its impressive.

Of course what will be interesting is seeing how long the right wing media give Abbot a honey moon period compared to Labor. Murdoch will win today.

My local area is actually a Labor stronghold and the Labor member did hang on. So the vote did actually count for something this time.
