Well I'll just offer a friendly suggestion for anyone reading this... as it appears all content will be migrated to another website it might be prudent to delete any private / sensitive content from your PM system just in case it gets exposed by some unforeseen error. I'm only saying this because according to Whirlpool someone accidentally got someone else's login after they changed servers. How that's possible I don't know hence the warning.

 

Just a thought.

 

And here's another one and it's just my view.

Well not really. I understood the original point of the takeover was to save DTV, not rape it and strip away its identity.

 

The best long term interest of DTV is to hand it over to someone who actually gives enough of a stuff about its historical content to keep it online as DTV Forum, just like it was for ten years or more. You can just about guarantee that all the bits that gave the site its character including the OT section will eventually disappear with the end result being a larger membership for StereoNet and no trace of DTV whatsoever.

 

Still, that's council planing and amalgamation for you...
