Do You Like Tony Abbott?
#41
Hi Peter,

Funny you should say that - I saw very similar scenes at the Labor camp during the last election - stinking hot day - massive crowds...

I think one or two 'em dived into the Liberal booth so they could go home early and catch up on the "Crikkitt" <img src='http://www.melbournechat.org/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rundog.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Tongue' />

Well given that he's got John Laws on his side I reckon he "knows what you mean" <img src='http://www.melbournechat.org/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Tongue' />

I think it is a sure bet that the new train ticketing system will be a disaster. they have the history to prove it! <img src='http://www.melbournechat.org/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Rolleyes' />

I think it would be Kosky's new year resolution to make Myki work. I hope it works out for her!

Hi there, my tuppence worth on the subject of the new Public Transport system

I'm really Pi55ed off about the new Mickey Mouse ticketing system not including Saturdays and Sundays too, that's just insane taking two working days out of the ticket. We're a 24/7 society now, just like the rest of the world. <img src='http://www.melbournechat.org/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/angry.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Rolleyes' /> And I think I read that the Seniors ticket has been totally done away!! Well does that mean that the next thing they'll do is "do away with the seniors" <img src='http://www.melbournechat.org/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/angry.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='^_^' /> And what about the business of "if your train is cancelled then you'll be charged twice for your trip, once when you enter the platform of origin, and another as you exit at the other end because the system can't figure out that your train was cancelled and you haven't logged out of the destination platform on time <img src='http://www.melbournechat.org/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/angry.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Smile' /> . On a line where trains are routinely cancelled - such as the Sandringham line, it's gonna lead to a very expensive public transport system.

I must thank DrP for that one...

Nice to see Abbott pushing Garret around the anti-whaling sanctuary...

It seems Garrett thinks whaling is good - maybe it keeps the ocean levels down by pulling all the fish out???

Nice (but naive) to see the crew of the "Ady Gill" using its so called "stealth" capabilities by playing the role of the Sub after contact with a Jap whaling vessel - the nippon blokes wouldn't know what hit them...

I'm definitely against the whaling. It's not legal in Australian waters but because we aren't there policing it - it becomes analogous to speeding on a highway without speed traps.

The anti- speed protesters of course would be standing on the road with Stop signs and "Shoo-Roos" and after seeing a racer hurtling towards them realizing too late that the word "Hit" has a silent "S" just before impact <img src='http://www.melbournechat.org/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Tongue' />
