Politics, Climate Change and Andrew Bolt
#41
Look I was hoping for a thread about our state premiers but it has turned into a climate change. Thats ok...after all the new Vic Gov has promised action.

As for Bolt... he is intellectually vacuous. If you have ever had the misfortune of hearing him bumbling, distorting on this issue its rather like listening to a member of the flat earth society.

Want a real speaker

One thing is clear.

EVERY CLIMATE CHANGE SCIENTIST has warned that after long periods of drought we will see floods.

Floods in Summer... crazy!!! Never!!!

Try telling that to the people of QL.

Of course Bolt would not even care.

Absolutely every Green prediction has come true!!

How about the predictions that aren't meant to come true yet? Surely they have some 2012 predictions!

That is weird. I wonder if she has been advised to stop waving her arms around by her media advisors! Did she still talk really slow like she was talking to very young children?

Yeah I know what you mean!...I think!

So what does everyone think about the new tax/levy thingy?

I read in the paper they say it might lead to the much bigger carbon tax becoming unpalateable and will ultimately result in gillard's downfall!

Yeah I think they were not happy she scrapped some green projects to pay for the flood. I wonder if the mateship tax will go up due to the cyclone?

Pretty soon every tax will have a name. There will be an "Accidental misuse of public funds levy", and the "Myki seemed like a good idea at the time levy".

Oh its pretty clear that this site is really just a meeting place for Liberal voters.

So much for balance.

I'm out of here.

I wanted to say that while everyone has a certain agenda it is way over the top here.

For example when I started a thread (unbiased) on State premieres it changed topic completely and in stead of intelligent discussion we saw the usual Liberal campaign. I think people know my politics but actually listed a Liberal as the top Premier!

I am fed up with the dribble against climate change. Its one hundred per cent clear that the skeptics are tossers who cannot see how stupid they are. Its the lies I detest.

Floods in Summer happen all the time? Absolute rubbish!!!

This is unprecedented and it is caused by the warming of the oceans. simple...

AS for the attack on MYki.. what nonsense. It is working and working well.

Yes there were problems BUT nothing compared to the early problems in Singapore and Bangkok

It should be made clearer that only conservative lib and National voters are welcome on this site.

So now you can continue to attack our Prime MInister because she uses gestures, has a slightly Aussie accent. At least she can stay awake and put two sentences together which the war criminal John Howard never did.

Of course as much as I disagree with Bolt I think he is perfectly entitled to his opinion. Censoring views never does much good.

I find mostly he gets swallowed up by logic any way. His comments on the disaster in Japan were most regrettable.

Nuclear energy is an issue I simply cannot make my mind up about but the incident in Japan has forced me to think again..

I think commenting on indigenous Australians is a very prickly issue at any time.

Yeah I think the nuclear distaster in Japan will slow down the take up of nuclear in australia for sure.

Well Peter S.

I think commenting on indigenous Australians is a very prickly issue at any time.

It sure is!

For people who have been out in the sun for ever they have mighty thin skin.

I suppose that's racist.

Racist maybe but inappropriate certainly. Come on Peter I like your posts and the stirring but that last post was not intelligent discussion.

Not sure how that is a jackpot unless they left some treasure hidden behind!!!

Speaking of treasure I hear there is a new Pirates of the Caribbean Movie coming out this year.

Ahoy me hearties!

Hi Peter S.

I'm glad you are still in the great land of Melbourne.

I'm kinda flattered cos I'm not very intelligent at all. Sometimes smart and often dull.

I know that because of all the intelligent tests I ever took I'm embarrassed to reveal my non score.

Let's say I'm no Keith Miller and never hit a six.

Racist words. Nah, inappropriate? Sh** I hope we get to say inappropriate stuff without PC on us.

How boring would conversation be if it were all appropriate.

Are Irish jokes inappropriate? Probably but most Irish love them.

The intelligencia here make jokes and derisive comments about red necked Aussies, kind of inappr . . .

Don't be bold and say it never happens! But hey that's life.

All nationalities have idiot traits. Perhaps appropriately, idiosyncrasies is a better term.

I dunno, I've been called son of convict scum (in a demeaning sense) by supposedly nice nationalities.

And for once I wish it were true.

I would love to trace back to a convict. That's a jackpot!

THats why I can ever get angry with you Peter! That was a gem and although we never agree I love your sense of true Aussie humour. You remind me of my late uncle who was a cocky and he had a wonderful turn of phrase.

Hey come on Peter S!

We agreed about the frogs!

I suspect you are quite chuffed about that?

If you were a lovely lady like MaggieMoo I'd send a couple of kisses, but cos you are a guy, just forget it! No way!

Thats fine Peter. I am only interested in young men with muscles! Perfectly happy with the man I have.
