Hi Maggie the woman who knows not how to stop!

Sometimes I think you make no sense.

Which makes me thing you are so dense!

Says he who continues to follow me

Should be in the kitchen making me tea... Hahahaha

Sometimes you just think you are so funny

But in reality you are so my sugar bunny.

But you are so push and cheeky too.

Oh alright then, just 'cos you're you. <img src='http://www.melbournechat.org/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wub.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

Nice finish Mooie! Thanks my dear mate

Are we having fun with this - or what? You bet! <img src='http://www.melbournechat.org/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Smile' />

Mary and Richard.

By MaggieMoo and PeterJ.

Mary married Richard and became Mrs. Jones.

Oh no! They cried, too skinny, both bags of bones.

Richard asks Mary, "Any ideas to put on weight?"

But Mary cannot cook, Richard found out to late.

Richard was stressed and in a big mess

There was something he did not want to confess!

But alas he knew that she must know

He's a professional chef with his own TV show.

One must wonder how that could be

However as we all know Mary NEVER watches TV!

So the heck with her, it's about time she learnt

But does he really want his dinner burnt?

No way he shouted from the kitchen stove

I'll do it cos I want perfection by Jove!

A meal from the man that Mary loves best

Is filled with love and lemon zest

So Mary now knows without a lie

They will be together until they die.

Thanks for the last beer dear, now get another or else! <img src='http://www.melbournechat.org/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/LMAO.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':LMAO:' /> <img src='http://www.melbournechat.org/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/LMAO.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':LMAO:' /> <img src='http://www.melbournechat.org/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/LMAO.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':LMAO:' /> I doan wanna die thirsty! Move! Pushy, pushy, pushy... Don't you think it's about time you got me one???? Hmmm!

Well sir, once again you have managed to complete one of our co-writes... I believe we work well together.

Anybody else out there who wishes to join, please feel free. As you can see we have a lot of fun with the poems. <img src='http://www.melbournechat.org/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Smile' />

Thanks again Peter. You're a star.

Mary's Lament.

By MaggieMoo and PeterJ.

How long was it now? Mary was reminiscing out loud

Richard heard and guessed correctly, that his beautiful wife was asking how long they were married?

Oh Peter, the second line is a tad long... Can you work on it before I add mine please? I'd do it, but I don't know what you want to take out.

OK Mooie, I'll get the beers JUST this time. <img src='http://www.melbournechat.org/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/piwo.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> Adesso! Contenta Tu? Oh I am happy... But that's just because you know how to make a friend happy.

You are doing well. I just wasn't sure where you were taking this. I mean if a poem gets too boring for you, we could write a small narrative instead.... Oooh there's a thought????

Hi Maggie.

Tell me about a narrative. How goes it then in the context of poetry? Well, it's more a prose than a narrative. It's like a small story written poetically but not in poetry form. I don't really know much about it... But our poems tend to lead that way, as though we are telling a story, ie...

She was awoken by the scent of his Lomani... His hands pressed gently on her face. Slowly he pulls her closer to his lips and kissed her, like their very first kiss. Even though it was their 21st anniversary he loved her adoringly and could never have gone through with it... His bags were packed and he had travelled far, but returned to her, for only her soft kisses could fill his void............ Oh golly look at me, I am babbling on. But you know what I mean, right?

Hello Sir Peter!

This poetry writing is a tough gig!

I think I'll stick to the war in the kitchen.

I got a chance there.

I gotta make scones one day.

Successfully that is, not just flat bits of hot burned dough.

Can you help, with pleasing instructions

Perhaps we could do it in your expansive kitchen. You are such a funny bloke... Expansive Kitchen. I don't think either of us can fit in their at one time without the odd elbow in the face... Hahaha. There's enough room for me and another little half size me. Other than that you can be my supervisor. Hee hee. (Plus between you and I, I can't make scones all that well. Shhh!, Don't tell anybody. Hee hee)

Better spend the time at the Gym and enjoy a dip!

Hearing this sent a chill thru her body

To which the baby responed with a gentle movement

Alas the moment to break the news slipped away

The future was now different and so distant.

A lone teardrop on Mary's cheek

Left Richard gazing longingly into her eyes

Would she wait for him?

Should he just let go of the secret?

Um Peter, how long is this poem going to be???

Mooie this is where I thought it should end. But I don't know the protocol on these matters. Sorry Cara. <img src='http://www.melbournechat.org/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/im Not Worthy.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':notworthy:' /> <img src='http://www.melbournechat.org/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/im Not Worthy.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':notworthy:' /> NO, no, if you would like it to end here, then that's ok. Remember it is a co-write and we both need to compromise. I will be happy with your decision. Lets leave it here. <img src='http://www.melbournechat.org/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Smile' />

Richard had been away only a week

There standing before him, was his worse nightmare

Quickly, silently he shut the door and stood outside once more.

Surely he was mistaken?

Had Mary seen him?

He searched his mind for clues he may have missed

Was this man from her past or perhaps he mistook the embrace

The question is what will he do now?

The other man walked away from Mary

He caught Richards eye and let out a roar of laughter.

Richard now, betrayed and riduled turned to walk away

Mary called out to him... "Wait my love!"

His heart was aching as he waited for her

"He's my long lost brother" she claims knowingly

Richard was relieved and yet nervous as well,

Why did he laugh at him?

Maggie I hope it is going where you would like. I'm loving it. It's going great isn't it. If there is anything you want to change, you can. I won't mind. Promise.

Little things I should have said and done, . . . but I never had the time . . .

You were always on my mind. You were always on my mind . . . Remember that song?
Ah, good old Willie. I loved that song

Best Wishes.

And who perhaps unwisely played out the charade

Now even her humour amazed him

Smiling at her in awe, he knew that now was time

So down on one knee he went...

Peter... I think you've done it. You've completed yet another fine piece of work. <img src='http://www.melbournechat.org/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Rolleyes' />

Good work!

The Quiet Storm.

By MaggieMoo and Peter J.

Mary sits quietly and in despair

Richard missing for days has left her uneasy

And unsure of their future

Her heart told her he must accept the temporary interstate job

Instead of the steady less one nearby.

The thought of birthing without Richard

Left Mary weeping uncontrollably.

She wondered what he was currently doing

Was he thinking of her and their unborn miracle?

Suddenly she remembered the doctor admonishing her "Be careful, relaxation is important."

How would they move forward if her pregnancy failed again.

Now her worry; to stress, her stress; to nerves

Anxiety set in and her body started to tremble

What should she do? Who shall she call?

Richard would be asleep in Ohio

What about her brother! Only two suburbs away!

During the call she felt the unmistakable stirring of the pending baby

The drive to the hospital was longer the usual

The rain pounded, the storm raged.

Drunk, her brother drove, faster and faster....

Then the unmistakable wail of sirens pierced the cabin

Police sirens

Thank God Mary thought, my idiot brother will slow down

Suddenly the door bursts open and low and behold it was Richard

He was back from the front line

She was relieved and excited at the same time

Within the hour Mary and Richard's faces shone

As they studied their newborn son!
