Someone here is longing for friendship...I am in early 30s, been in Mel for three years. wish to make some friends with people who are mature and can engage in inspiring conversations as well as hang out for coffee, hang out, doing stuff, dinner...living in south eastern suburb working in city.

Hi there! I just moved to Melb 3 months ago from Sydney. I'm missing my friends like crazy, so thought I'd be proactive and find new friends! I've just started uni here, and also signed up for volunteer work but it's hard to find those ppl who you just "gel"with... if you know what I mean! Alot of the ppl I have met are quite young, which is fine but would be nice to meet ppl around my own age. I'm 29, female and live kinda near the city. I'm studying counselling and working part-time doing admin work, from home (nice... but you don't meet too many ppl from home!) Let me know if you'd be keen to catch up! I'm very new to this site (10 minutes actually!). I work in Melbourne CBD and would love to make some new friends. I've been working in the CBD for a while now, but only just moved closer from the country.
I'm 29 and separated from my husband of 11 years about 7 months ago (no kids involved). I would describe myself as a career person, and a bit of a feminist!
I'm friendly and easy going, love to try new things, and particularly love to just talk about life with friends. I'm currently reading a book called 'intimacy and solitude' by Stephanie Dowrick - it is fantastic and quite confronting.
I do enjoy a few glasses of wine over dinner, I'm not the most active person in the world, and I LOVE food! BUT.. I don't smoke!
I'd really love some like-minded female friends to connect with!

I'm a 26 year old currently living a little outside melbourne, however spend all my weekends either in the city or taking road trips down the beach or to wineries.
I have recently come out of a long term relationship, and feel like I need some like minded female company... I miss just hanging out with girlfriends, enjoying great food, wine and company. I suppose I'm being proactive about starting to look for a new friendship circle as most of my close girlfriends are a little older and have now settled down with marriage and children.
I am a very active person, love exercising - which compensates for the fact I also love food and wine - and I love to cook.
I would love to hear from you (or any of the girls on here) if your keen for a catch up.

Hi everbody, you all seem so genuine and nice and requiring the same wants as I. I'm moving to Hawthorne, Melbourne on Xmas day to be closer to family, so would very much like to meet new people, for dining, cafe stops, shopping, clubbing, festivals, gymming, anything goes really....I am early 30s and young at heart. Am proactive and energetic and love to have good hearty friends that are not shallow nor self centred.
