Abbotsford Convent is a cultural hub and free to visit. There are often weekend markets, including the monthly Skirt & Shirt Market. The Convent itself is a historical building full of artist studios. Lovely grounds and cafes. You can take a walk guided by one of the many Convent volunteers.

Going to the war memorial at night gives you spectacular views and it's very tranquil and free. Plus we saw lots of cheeky little possums!

What a lovely forum.
I know it sounds rather gruesome but a walk around Melbourne cemetery is actually most interesting.
Many significant Melbourne identities are buried there including Prime Minister Menzies and there is a tomb to Burke and Wills.

Williamstown is a place to enjoy the night club life and the water scenes. The purple sky and water really made the experience even better. The bridge in the distance is Westgate bridge which is really a giant car park itself. These yachts were what the region a heaven for rich people from Toorak.
