"Man" burns down house trying to kill spider

http://www.9news.com.au/world/2014/07/17...ill-spider

remind you of anyone ? LoL

A US man has burned down his home in a botched attempt at killing a spider.

Rather than try to kill the arachnid with a shoe or some rolled up newspaper, the unnamed man decided to create a makeshift flamethrower with a cigarette lighter and a can of spray paint, KOMO News reports.

The homemade weapon quickly set the laundry of the Seattle home ablaze, and the man was forced to flee the house after failing to douse the flames himself.

"I don't want to encourage people to do this, but that's what he did," fire official Kyle Moore said.

Firefighters were unable to douse the flames up close after being told there was a spider in the house.

Senator Jacqui Lambie describes her ideal man as 'well-hung' in radio interview

Tasmanian Senator Jacqui Lambie has described her perfect man as being well-off and "well-hung" during a radio interview. While a guest on Hobart's Heart 107.3, the outspoken senator said she had not been in a relationship for 11 years because of physical and mental stress.

"That why I am not so worried about my waxing," she offered. When asked about removing hair from her legs, bikini line and underarms, Senator Lambie revealed all.

"Right now the state I'm in, I can tell you what, you'd want to bring out that whipper snipper first."

Hosts Kim Napier and Dave Noonan, offering to act as match-makers, asked Lambie what attributes she was looking for in a partner.

"They must have heaps of cash and they've got to have a package between their legs, let's be honest," replied Senator Lambie.

"And I don't need them to speak."

When a 22-year-old man named Jamie called as a prospective date, Lambie was prompted to see if he met her requirements.

He assured her he had plenty of money, having inherited a "small fortune".

"Are you well-hung?" asked Lambie.

"Hung like a donkey," Jamie answered.

"Oh is that right! I've got a 24-year-old son who reckons he is too. (He) says that as well."

While Lambie agreed to go on a breakfast date with Jamie, her comments have sparked a reaction on social media, much of it negative.

I agree! Nefarious editing and changing of the headline by the ABC should be a sackable offense!

Foetus skeleton found in woman's abdomen 36 years after ectopic pregnancy :o

Doctors in India have removed the skeleton of a foetus that had been inside a woman for 36 years in what is believed to be the world's longest ectopic pregnancy.

The woman, 60, became pregnant at the age of 24 but suffered a miscarriage because the foetus had been growing outside of her uterus, a doctor told news agency AFP.

The woman, from a poor rural area of central India, was "terrified" of having surgery to remove the remains of the foetus at the time and instead sought medication for the pain at a local clinic.

Although the pain gradually subsided, it returned years later and forced the woman to seek medical help at a hospital in western India.

"She came to us complaining of pain in the abdomen," Dr Murtaza Akhtar, head of surgery at the NKP Salve Institute of Medical Sciences in the city of Nagpur, said.

Doctors felt a lump on the woman's lower right abdomen and feared it could be cancer but further tests and scans revealed a calcified mass.

"Once we saw the scans, our first reaction was 'what are we dealing with?' It was actually a matured skeleton encapsulated in a calcified sac," Dr Akhtar said.

"A 60-year-old woman with a foetus lying in her abdomen for 36 years is a medical marvel. It's something we had never heard about."
