Health For Oldies!
#1
[color="#8B0000"]Hello to all older Melbourneites. (And anyone from Geelong, Iblis).

In this weeks Herald Sun, Get Fit section is a good section on exercises for over 50s. (And anyone I guess).

It has passed on a Government site devoted to the health of oldies.

The site has heaps of information for oldies.

Is that true about "Every hour before midnight IS worth two hours after midnight"?

I never get to sleep much before 2.00 am and often it's 3.00 am or later <img src='http://www.melbournechat.org/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Smile' />

Answers please. (Re your chart).

It says highest testosterone at 9.00AM.

Then between 14.30 and 17.00 best muscle etc. .......

So in your opinion what time frame is the best for Gym work?

Oh I just noticed that at 15.30 is fastest reaction time!

Hey man I beg to differ, that's when I tend to snoozzzzee!

For me personally, 10:00 sharpish.

Ok well I better pick small flights then! How many steps constitutes a flight? I am hoping 2 or 3 will be be enough! <img src='http://www.melbournechat.org/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':gathering:' />

Hi Guys,

Just read all the posts since my last one - I've been a little busy.

Thanks for the chart of circadian rythms - excellent information which I'll endeavour to take on board.

Why on earth do I need testosterone levels at 9.00 am though ?????????? I swear I'm not gonna do anything with high testosterone levels (i don't think).

I do like the idea of an evening walk or swim at 5.00pm though, that sounds like a great idea and I'll try to fit it in tomorrow - oh, no it's already 1.40 am ........I mean later today ! <img src='http://www.melbournechat.org/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/Money Eyes.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Wink' />

By the way, the height and width tread of each stair in a flight of stairs is governed by an Australian Standard so stairs will always be a minimum/maximum height. They can't be "small" stairs !

Interesting <img src='http://www.melbournechat.org/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Wink' /> though not everybody follows standards, particularly during ye old'e times.

hmmmmm. I must admit, I forgot about stair walkers at the gym. Silly me. I was thinking about planning evacuation procedures and the stairs in buildings used to get from one level to another.

I have been so active that after pulling sore during the first 100 metres of a planned 10 km run this morning I headed home and coated my hamstrings with Percutane, and then headed back to the park and ran in the opposite direction to trick my body into running the 10 km and ran the entire distance fairly satisfactorily.

That is mind over matter‼
