Train schedules are really, really bad. Flinders has had 2 meltdowns in the 2 months that I've been here, not a great experience. I'd start driving if it wasn't for the crazy traffic going in/out of the city.

Not talking about the fence artists of course, but the art in the alleyways in the city are pretty good.

Have to agree with you about the pavement artists, I stay at Southbank and see them every other weekend!

Further insight since I made this post:

What it really boils down to is people having lack of respect for themselves, so they take out their self-hatred upon others.



Also, people are influenced greatly by the media and feel that this world must be 'dog eat dog', which is only magnified in larger cities, not just Melbourne.



People are also more anxious in social situations and you can easily mistake socially anxious people as rude.
