Can you believe they have more floods in Qld! I imagine people had just finished rebuilding from the last flood.

Sad news guys. Duckie passed away late last year after a short battle with cancer.
To simply say she was nice seems somewhat inadequate, but the outpouring of Condolences from so many people does at least portray the brightness of her character.
May she rest in peace.

She never mentioned cancer as far as I can recall. Can you send us a link to the condolences? That is terrible news.

I just tried to log into the http://www.dtvforum.info forum and apparently they have a thread dedicated to her but I have to wait for my registration to be approved before I can read it.

Yes Glen, that's the right thread - there was a link to an obituary which is no longer available but you can see just how many people there - as well as here - were touched by her contributions.
She loved this place didn't she <img src='http://www.melbournechat.org/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wub.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

I still cannot access the dtv site so I will continue to wait patiently.
I would have liked to see the obituary.
Was she sick for a long time or did it happen very quickly?

I was going to turn the TV on soon. I am currently backing up family photos to dvd discs for safe keeping. I have taken a LOT of photos lately so I am going through a lot of discs!

Well I selected the quickest speed silly me! Oh well I hope it does not matter too much. And I left them lying in the light so I will pack them away in the cupboard soon.
Â
I ended up with 29 discs (both single and dual layer discs). That is photos backed up are only from 2 years of photography so you can see I have been snapping lots of pics! When backing up to dvd's, I find that a lot of space gets wasted because I was trying to back up entire folders of photos and so sometimes I had to leave a disc half empty because the next folder in the sequence would not fit on the disc. Oh well it is done now. Hopefully I never need this backup and it can just sit on the shelf.
