would you rather browse in a new or a second-hand book shop?

Second-hand book shop <img src='http://www.melbournechat.org/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Tongue' /> . I'm very nostalgic, and could happily spend a whole day in there.

Love the old car magazines, old books with pictures of Melbourne or Sydney, particularly during the start of the "building boom" in the 60's and 70's. Sydney, looked very strange when the Australia Square (err "round") building was the tallest and the "Black Stump" building (which was demolished) was the 2nd highest.

Umm, mornings or afternoons?

afternoons - i'm still waking up in the morning

which do you like the least - starlings or mynah birds?

Going off Wikipedia, I'd say the mynah (they show a white one).

Beaches or swimming pools?

the beach 'cause swimming pools stink of chlorine......

you see a book you want to buy. the paperback version is $25 and the hardback is $55. which do you buy?

The hardback for $55. I have a lot of bad luck with paperbacks that fall apart eventually.....

Plus it's easier to shelve.....
