Melbourne Jazz Festival 2007 creates a buzz
The annual Crown Melbourne Jazz Festival will have Melbourne buzzing for 10 days from 3 to 13 May 2007. The festival will include the very best jazz, with the best musical talent from Australia and overseas, in some of the best Melbourne venues.
The much loved Lord Mayor John So has welcomed the 2007 program:
âThe 2007 program will see Crown, the Arts Centre, Federation Square and Bennettâs Lane humming with the beats and rhythms of the very best jazz for everyone.
âAlmost half the scheduled entertainment for the 2007 event is free, making jazz accessible for the whole community.
âMelbourne enjoys a rich jazz tradition. Our jazz-playing and jazz-loving community continues to grow.
âCouncil recognises the potential for the Melbourne Jazz Festival to become a major city event that attracts tourists as well as local jazz lovers.â
