Melbourne To Sydney Driving Distance
#1
Hi everyone, I was recently asked for advice on the driving distance between Melbourne and Sydney. It is approximately 900km and would take about 10 hours if you did not stop for site-seeing etc. That would be driving inland on the Hume Highway (though Albury -Wadonga). If you go along the coast road it would take a fair bit longer. The coast road (The Princes Highway) is more like 1200km.

There are some useful strip maps here:

Coastal route: (in two parts - From Melbourne to Eden - Melbourne to Eden (Princes Highway)

and then from Eden to Sydney - Eden to Sydney (Princes Highway) )
