Hotels In Melbourne
#1
Am travelling to melbourne later in the year and have been looking at suitable hotels. So far, I'm considering the Quest or Bayview on the park. Any members experience of either of these hotels?

hi visitor, i have heard of the quest and i think they have a good name. i never noticed the other hotel you mentioned.

here are a couple of good websites to compare hotels:

http://www3.visitmelbourne.com.au/ (do a search for hotels in melbourne and it will give you a star rating and price estimate)

probably an even better website is that of the RACV. Just do a search for Melbourne region and you will get a heap of good places to chose from:

good luck! hope you have a great stay in melbourne,

cheers, glen

I'm planning on attending the Australian Open (tennis) in 2010 and of course, would like to stay in a hotel near Melbourne Park. It's still a bit early but I was wondering 1) which hotels are both reasonably priced and relatively close to the venue and 2) how far in advance I would have to reserve a room.

I think you should book a year ahead <img src='http://www.melbournechat.org/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':Money Eyes:' />

I would start at wotif.com to get some ideas (it shows maps of where all the hotels are) and then just ring the hotel directly to make a booking <img src='http://www.melbournechat.org/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Rolleyes' />
