I love ######/tuck although the last season is a bit lousy...

I want to start watching Breaking Bad and Dexter. Anyone watches them, recommends?

You either really like or really hate Dexter... very few fall in between. I'm in the really like group.

Cricket is a mistery to me. But let's not have this discussion.

I watched the 1st episode of "Breaking Bad" last night. It started quite slow and didn't catch me straight away. But when the 'complication' started it became a bit more interesting and I will give it another chance, I will watch a couple more episodes tonight to see what happens.

I am so glad "24" is back!!! I think it is series 8 now. Also I like "V".

It is a shame that "heroes" is not on at the moment. I really like that one too.

The last few episodes of House have been interesting and the recent Cuddy episode was very enjoyable.

The original "V" series was a favourite of mine. Haven't had a chance to watch the new version.

Richard Chamberlain... amazing because I am reading his biography!!

Richard Chamberlain once appeared in a TV version of Hamlet. His Hamlet was quite amazing. I am still trying to get hold of this as it made years and years ago. Apart from KIldare he was in THornbirds and Shogun as well as fine perfomances in pretty average movies.

His book Shattered LOve is a fine read, dealing with the studio pressures he had to deal with. Being gay in the media in those days was very much harder than today.

Its a wonderful read.

Another TV show I still laugh at in re runs is THe Honeymooners!! THat show looks cheap in its production values by today's standards but Gleeson and his team are brilliant.

Hi Helen and Peter

Another show I love is Jon Stevens and Bill Maher. Its the only thing I watch on pay TV which I am finding a waste of money.

THese two guys are brilliant.

THe DAily Show with John Stevens is a most unusual show for American TV. Stevens is extremely funny. Very sharp wit. Of course with Bush gone he does not have much to make fun of but thanfully there is still Sarah Palin. He is very left of centre which one rarely sees. Oddly even ruplicans love coming on his show.

Bill Maher is simply a legend. A very proud and open atheist which is unheard of in American TV... no one is really safe . He is absolutely briilliant. He also lets everyone have a say. While he is very left wing (by American standards lol) he is always polite and challenging. There are hundreds of right wing shows in America but this is very very rare. I normally dont put links in but his style is hard to explain. THere are lots of others on the you tube .

Peter I will find out if its on free to air.

You can have a look at this

I love the show but each to his own.

I might leave politics alone Peter as I get into trouble . Dont get me started on the tea party lol.

I have become strangely hooked on Desperate Housewives.. why I have no idea. Its quite silly.

You might be talking about John Stewart. The ABC airs both The Daily Show and The Colbert Report:

An interesting interview... Stewart talks to much though:

Don't worry Peter I know lots of guys watch the The Bold and The Beautiful.

Iblis yes you are quite right. I love Stewart but he is an aquired taste I guess.

I am loving the Vietnamese cooking show on SBS not sure what its called. I guess Bill M talks a bit too much but that dame gets plenty of air time on Fox News.

Well talking about lame soapies I often watched "Days of our lives" while in the gym as it was on at the same time. Otherwise I watched "just shoot me" or "the nanny".

Funny I don't really think Australian TV has come very far. None of the new shows are a patch on Mavis Bramston show (too long ago for most here) and there has never been anyone even fractionally brilliant as Graham Kennedy.

Only real talent is Chris Lillie.
