My 14 year old daughter was having major fits over the possibility of having to move to Oz... But this got her! Those little blokes are adorable! Thanks for posting this.

If you can point me towards someplace she can get surfing lessons, I promised her a board for her 16th if we're there.

I think they do surfing lessons at Torquay (nears the famous Bells Beach).

Here is one example: http://www.torquaysurf.com.au/

I'm visiting from Canada in October and would love to see the penguins. Would you recommend the Urbanpenguins tour or the Phillip Island one?

From what I've been reading Phillip island seems expensive and that you get put into a room with a plexigalss wall to see the penguins through? Is this true? Or are you actually outside to see it all?

How does the Urbanpenguin tour compare? Does the boat you are on get close enough to see their detail like in the websites photos?

Basically I am looking to see the penguins in as natural a setting as I can without breaking the bank.

Any help would be appreaciated.

Thanks!
