I had a little cousin in hospital and the only thing they could get him to eat was chicken nuggets from Maccas. So 10 points to maccas for keeping him going.

Hi Peter,

I did a lot of reshuffling of things around. But everything should still be there..somewhere <img src='http://www.melbournechat.org/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':o' />

If you are trying to find one of your own posts or topics you can easily get to them via your member profile.

I think it's over 24 hours...

I think maybe you have your time zone settings for another country Peter!

You can control that under "My Controls" and then "Board Settings".

Hi Peter, I think you'll find that particular feature in the forum software doesn't know what the actual time is - just what activity happened in a given time frame - 24 hours is my guess.

That's 24 hours prior to whenever you've clicked the checker - not from the start of the day.

Think of it as if you were taking a reading on your speedo trip meter since the last reset <img src='http://www.melbournechat.org/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Rolleyes' />

A post count check at 12AM at your place will give you the same number as to another viewer in an area where it's 11PM.

Yeah I thonk what PZ said makes sense.

Just for your info, the server where the melbchat website is hosted in actually in the USA even though we are all over here in Aussie land! <img src='http://www.melbournechat.org/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Rolleyes' /> Not sure if that has anything to do with it.

Usually you pay a monthly fee and then pay extra fee for excess bandwidth usage i fyou exceed the monthly quota. Though I have not had to pay excess charges for quite a while! <img src='http://www.melbournechat.org/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

I'm guessing the reputation is linked to the post voting option in the bottom right hand corner of each post and since we have positive voting only, your reputation will always be intact, Peter. :-)

I don't know, Peter. I just like saying confusing things. :-)

Hi Peter, You are right. Please find attached $5 dollars <img src='http://www.melbournechat.org/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Tongue' /> Congrats on 2000 posts!

For the emails issue, I think i am having the same problem but there is an easy fix.

Just click on "My Settings" (after clicking on yourself in the top right corner)

Then click on the "Forums" tab.

Then click on "Manage Watched Topics"

You will then see a list of watched/subscribed topics. You can either select all of them and change the settings to "Daily Digest". Or you can just stop watching topics completely to stop the emails coming.

Cheers, Glen
