Buy Iphone In Australia

Buy iPhone in Australia

I am sure a lot of you would have heard the hype over the new Apple iPhone which is basically a mobile phone and an ipod wrapped up in one. It is supposed to be a very cool product and one that will officially be released in Australia some time in 2008. You can read more about the iphone here: http://www.apple.com/iphone/

For those of you who cannot wait that long, it is already possible to Buy iPhone in Australia.

I did a search on staticice which is a good shopping website and it gave me three different stores selling iphones in australia (see results below). They say the phones are "unlocked" and that they can be used on any network other than the "3" network. However please make your own inquiries first!!

I read this interesting article that seemed to suggest that an unlocked iphone in australia might not work very well or might be quite slow: http://www.cnet.com.au/mobilephones/phones...39281903,00.htm

If you have any experience operating an iphone in Australia please let us know. And let us know what network you are using (e.g. Optus, Telstra, Vodafone, Virgin etc).

I got mine from www.aussieiphones.com.au, they use the simfree solution which doesn't modify the phone and survives the upgrades.

Brilliant service too, check them out - They do COD if you're in Melboure!

hi, i got the impression that those hacked iphones have limited functionality. you might like to ask the people at the whirlpool forum since they are real tech heads!
