Move To Melbourne - life costs
#1
I intend to move to Australia (from Brazil), and Melbourne is our first choice but we want to know more about the life in that city. Someone could bring us information about life cost, like rent a house, food, transportation, etc... We are three (I, my wife and a kid).  And it is realy easy to get a job? (I'm studing  physics and my wife is an account). Thanks you all!

Hi LSartori,

To be honest I always got the impression that there aren't many jobs in physics as general rule.

Though perhaps at the moment it will be OK since unemployment is quite low so maybe it will be OK. You could make some inquiries with organisations like ANSTO and CSIRO.

There should be plenty of jobs for accountants presuming that your wife's qualifications are recognised over here. I don't know much about that. Here are some links that might help:

Best of luck!
