Australia Tolerant!

I did look at your post.

Yes very subtle. But we know what you are saying.

The best exponents you say are left leaning teachers. Yes its the terrible left again.

Muslims are pretty good at it too. Your words not mine.

I do not have a religion.

Dont you ever get tired of hating?

Very well.Back to topic I heard today that Abbot is thinking of sending the boats back.

Mark my words this will be seen most unfavorably by Indonesia. Rightly so. The repercussions could be serious, very serious.

Hey guys,

I used to eat a LOT of salami and now I am cutting back since I put on too much wait. I also cut back on cheese ....but yes I am going off topic! Sometimes talking about food can be more fun!

I agree that one of the greatest things about Melbourne is its tolerance of new inhabitants. And Melbourne truly is a successful multicultural socity. I visited Box Hill this arvo and it is like heaven for the chinese. But actually it is great for everyone. I think everyone knows the chinese make great neighbours. They even take their shoes off before they go inside! Most aussies would not do that.

Melbourne has also benefited from other big immigration moves in the past such as mediterrean europeans (italians, greeks, maltese) and more recently sudanese and other africans.

I hope all future groups that move to Melbourne will equally be welcomed and accepted.

I look forward to seeing more african restaraunts popping up. I imagine they have some great dishes!

I live not far from Dandenong and quite like the food served up the Uyghurs restaurants down that way. These people come from North West China and look more russian than chinese I think. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Uyghur_people

Cheers, Glen

Thats a wonderful post Glen with a superb positive approach.

Being self critical I will adopt that approach indeed we all should.

Of course one other great thing is visit the immigration museum and learn about the Afghan people who did so much for this country in terms of opening up the outback. The history of the Australian Muslim community is very interesting.

There are challenges but I am convinced the new generation will face the challenges.
