La Plaza de Mercado is now Melbourneâs premier Latin American and Spanish cultural festival. The Queen Victoria Market will come alive again with dazzling colour and energy on Sunday 20 April, 2008 for the recreation of âa market within a marketâ La Plaza de Mercado.
La Plaza de Mercado, showcases the sights, sounds and beauty of countries of Latin America and Spain.
In its fourth year, this unique event will feature the distinctive elements and diversity from Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, El Salvador, Guatemala, Mexico, Paraguay, Peru, Spain and Uruguay from approximately 27 specialty stallholders.
An exotic entertainment program of Latin dance performances and music; market stalls of traditional art, craft, fashion, and a tantalising array of food and flavours will be presented with passion and zeal, and promises a memorable experience.
