hi khalid,

i have never heard of a night club that refuses people who are not australian. however there would be plenty of places that refuse to allow guys to enter (because they know having too many men in a club is not good for their business). and there are clubs that refuse people based on the clothes they are wearing, whether they are drunk, etc.

also there are some clubs in melbourne that attract particular ethnic groups (e.g. there are some asian night clubs). i never tried to get into an asian club so i don't know if they would refuse me entry because i am not asian.

cheers, glen

Hi there khalid...

As a general rule Australian law has a zero tolerance policy towards racism, especially in workplaces, schools, colleges etc.

When it comes to nightclubs however, you will find (as glen said) they are more likely to find other reasons to refuse entry.

Having said that if a particular nightclub does refuse entry - despite your attempts to abide by their rules - then it's probably not the sort of place you would want to go to at any rate and are best avoided.

However, In my opinion you are lucky to be in the best "nightlife" city in Australia so I don't think it's going to be too much of a problem for you.

Thanks guys

Well so far I went to some clubs here to be honest did not see anything that make me sad or something.. oh ya once they refused because of i was alone not with a girl and that is normal everywhere in the world.. I don't want to enter the Asian nightclubs (not because they are bad) because I'm here to see Australian people and get contact with them to know more about them and there culture..

Sorry about the topic if its sounded like surprising, but i was shocked when my friend told me that. The thing is in my country they are a lot of Australians enjoying the nightlife that we have and we don't have difference problems back there all happy living and enjoying the happiness and the hospitality

Cheers guys
