Lobby Loyde Tribute/ Michael Fein Launch

For anyone that knows music should know Lobby Loyde if not by name, they have definately heard his influence in major bands such as ACDC and Jet. the last artist Lobby worked with was Michael Fein, they spent 15 months and went through many studios to finish the album. during the recording Lobby was diagnosed with cancer, inducted to the ARIA hall of fame, and thrown a huge benefit show by Billy Thorpe with an all star line up.... Lobby promised Michael he would finish the album with him and did, but sadly passed away a week after they completed the record.



On the 23rd of August 2008, Michael is launching the album he and Lobby worked on at HIFI bar in Melbourne.... Its also going to pay tribute to Lobby Loyde with all the acts on the line up having being inspired by Lobby including Brian Hooper (nick Caves Bad Seeds and Beasts of Bourbon) as well as Lobbys son.



Going to be a Huge night....Come down

yeah i think it will be massive as well, well deserved for Lobby and for michael's courage to finally step up to the plate after everything... i sent him a msg on his myspace, he got back to me pretty quick, he's a good dude, hope it goes well for him, also great freakin tunes...

I know a few community radio stations there that play Lobby Loyde off the satellite feed on Saturday Nights.

Mostly stuff from the "Sudden Electric" or "Coloured Balls" eras. Is "Beavercore" similiar to that?
