Live & Direct from Chile, Illapu in Concert
ILLAPU, pronounced "eeyapu", meaning Lightning Bolt in Quechuan, are a Chilean folk and Andean musical ensemble formed in 1971, in Northern Chile South America.
From their musical roots, and their journey all over the world since its beginnings, they have developed new horizons in their sounds.
This coming October, Australian audiences will have the chance to experience this unique musical journey of Latin America and its poetry, composed by a contemporary mix of world sounds, from Andean zampoñas to outback didgeridoos.
