Mcclellan Street, Melbourne

Hi, I live in the uk and at the present moment I am researching a relative who was killed in action in France in Aug 1914, on his service record his father`s address is given as 85 McClellan Street, Melbourne. I am assuming that this is Melboune Australia as the relative in question lived in Glasgow, Scotland when he enlisted and I cannnot find a Melbourne in Scotland.



Does anyone know of this street in Melbourne.

Perhaps it is a mispelling. There are some similar sounding roads



e.g.



mcclelland

mclelland

mclellan

mclennans



Though I did find some references to "Mcclellan Street". on google. Hang on I will check something else, cheers, glen

here was the address i mentioned that i found on google. Could be very old

Actually seems like it is just a mispelling of "McLellan" so its not of any help

Thanks for the info, is Bayswater part of Melbourne and are there any online family history tracing sites where I might find a voting register for this street in 1912.

Bayswater is one of the many Melbourne suburbs.

Perhaps the city you are looking for is Melbourne, Florida?



It is actually a fairly large city.
