Hi, I am new member HtH.

I work in Box Hill, sitting at a computer almost all day every day. I have quite a bit of downtime and recently I've discovered chat rooms. This is the second one I've joined. I'm interested in chatting with random people about random topics. My interests are politics, public transport, sports (NRL, Ice Hockey, Baseball), news and current affairs in general. I'm fairly outspoken and I have a habit of speaking before I think things through sometimes. Hey, if you can't be honest when your anonymous when can you? But, I'm always interested in the views of others and I capable of changing my mind and admitting when I'm wrong.

How exciting. Apparently I'm member number 800!



My birthday is the 31st. I hate it how drop down menus on internet sites, when you have to enter your birthdate, always only show the numbers 1 to 29. If you're born on the 30th or 31st you have click the arrow to make the date appear. It's an extra click. It's discrimination. Why can't they make 1 to 31 appear in the drop down box?

Most people don't put in their real birthday date in those things! I certainly don't. I would turn off the birthday feature if I knew how. I am a lousy admin <img src='http://www.melbournechat.org/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

Actually you are the current 800th member but we must have about 500 deleted members so that is why your member number is 1319.



The reason there is some many deleted members is because:



1) some people sign up don't validate their membership and so their account is automatically deleted within a few days. OR



2) the accounts of spammers get deleted. And there are hundreds of them unfortunately!
