Why So Difficult To Rent A House
#1
Hi, I'm a Malaysian. My wife is looking for a house to rent. She is doing her Phd in Melbourne Uni. She said that it has been really difficult and disappointing. Once, she attended a house inspection only to be told by the agent (who was late) that the house was already been booked. Why bother having house inspection when they had already decided.A few of them didn't bother to answer the phone. I'll be joining her in June to do my Phd in La Trobe uni. We are looking for a house in Coburg, Preston, Pascoe vale and the surrounding areas with rental rates <A$330. Is there any way she could contact the owners directly? or is there an alternative way to search a house.

Hi there,

Usually universities will help students to arrange accommodation. Have you tried that option?
