Hi, my name is mick and at the moment i live in footscray. i am desperately seeking somewhere to live. i am 44 and am extremely sick. i am in need of a heart transplant and am too overweight to get on the list. i have been in hospital 17 times since being diagnosed in november 2006. well heres the problem. where i live is not a healthy place, i live with my mother and sister, we do not get on. they do not really care about me and it is effecting both my physical and mental health. i have been on the emergency housing register for 10 months and because i am a single white male i do not qualify, or i have to wait up to 7 yrs for a place...i aint got that long. i have tried getting my own place but i do not earn enough on disability pension to get anywhere suitable. i have tried to get a share place and lets be honest , no-one wants a non working, overweight,44y.o. male who is very sick. so i am here to see if anyone has modern bungalow or one bed flat or two bed unit,flat or house that i could rent at a reduced rate till i could get a share mate in(being the first in a place i could get someone im sure).i need somewhere near a major hospital with cardio and respitory wards, also with close neighboors , if i live alone, in case of a fall or emergency. please do not ask me about my family as it doesnt matter or please do not sympathise as im not here for those reasons. i have been trying to find a place for nearly two yrs and my health is rapidly going down as i have no support where i am and no help.
