Each broadcaster makes an attempt to get a party from opposing views on each current affairs type show... though sometimes parties decline to appear either due to short notice or to more insidious reasons and only one sided views can be presented along with, depending on the show, listener feedback (always a random set of ideas sometimes off topic).

Here is a link to their website and a list of all the shows: http://www.abc.net.au/rn/

Radio National's frequency is 621 AM

Peter, I couldn't locate any information on the actual infrastructure that will used in South Korea; however, if the infrastructure is fibre then this news is a testament to the potential fibre has for increased bandwidth, and a good directional marker for our own NBN.

Baby steps... learn to walk before running... and all that.

They have advantages over Aus and other countries as they have small geographical area and a very high density population.

Same in Japan, and that is one reason why they are leaping ahead.

Good point, Peter.

...and then there is the fact that Japan and South Korea are quite the technological hub.

G'day Peter,

My Internet Service Provider is also Dodo.

The company I work for does the recruitment and human resources for Dodo.

Dodo's ability to offer really cheap connections results in major cost cutting from other areas such as customer service and technical support departments.

I have a really good customer relationship with Dodo because I rarely require their customer service and technical support services.

Dodo actually has one of the worst reputations on the block and they are also one of the most heavily fined Internet Service Providers.

Just the fact that we are discussing the companies name suggests that the name is in-fact a good choice... besides that, Dodo is actually quite a catchy and simple brand name to remember.

In my opinion, any pejorative associated with the Dodo as an instinct creature is counter balanced well by the jolly and very much "alive" mascot that Dodo developed.

Funnily enough, some people do not even associated the brand name Dodo with an extinct and flightless bird... they think the brand name is Do-Do, a somewhat worse connotation.

Yes, Dodo as in the dodo bird.

Yeah I guess there would be lots of kids that have no idea that dodo is an extinct bird <img src='http://www.melbournechat.org/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Tongue' />
