Haha nice one. That one was too subtle for me to notice until gymbunny mentioned the hilarious joke that I almost missed <img src='http://www.melbournechat.org/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':gathering:' />

Try making ten minutes at 16.1 km per hour.

oh... no, I can't!... can't even make 6 minutes (6 minute mile)... I could probably make 3 minutes on a treadmill from a fresh start.
I was just saying relative to how easy a ten minute run on a treadmill is normally, say at 10-12 km per hour.

Yeah thats what I do on the treadmill when Im doing my ten min warmup before weights - 10-12lm p/h.
If Im doing a cardio sesh on the treadie I go for 40mins with the speed ranging from 9-13km p/h (i do intervals and increments) and the incline upto 3%.
Running on the tread is so different to running in "nature" though lol - the extra effort required to move yourself forward without a conveyor belt beneath you is considerable.

Intervals are a really great way to exercise, I ran intervals too but just run at a comfortable pace outdoors now, and inclining is great too... adding at least a single incline level is a great way to simulate outdoor running however, I really think the main difference between indoor and outdoor is the extra amount of oxygen that gets pumped through the body and the general environmental elements. I've seen some scientific data that suggests any difference, in controlled circumstances, between indoor and outdoor running is insignificant.
I'm actually going for a run in a few minutes... so cold outside!
