Hello All.
I've just been cold called again!
So I am thinking, does cold calling work?
I have never responded positive to any call ever.
How about you?
Do they actually ever get any positive response?
What is the strike rate?
Does the "Don't call register" work?

I've never had them as my number isn't listed - nothing worse than a call on a cold morning!

I get cold called often 'cause i didn't want a private number... probably should've since i can't stand 'em and never respond positively.
Cold calling must work otherwise telemarketers would be out of a job.
My most recent call experience was from the insulation people that Garret has been in strife over... i asked where they got my number and the response was the government census, unfortunately i wasn't quick witted enough to ask why they didn't have the right of mind check the census for the fact that i'm a renter, bloody time wasters. I get a number of calls that are geared toward property owners rather than renters, very frustrating... not that any cold call is enjoyable.
I had a guy come to my door trying to sell something and instead i tried to sell him some fund raising chocolates, he wouldn't buy any... said something about not being allowed... what a load of ca-rap.

Wow. what a crack up. A cold call from a company to install something that could burn your house down <img src='http://www.melbournechat.org/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/gathering.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />
