hey kara, don't forget we have a "mobile" skin that i supposed to be good for mobile phones. select from bottom left corner.

i have been doing very well though i'm starting to miss australia. i particuarly miss the ability to talk to people and to move around independently. over here i could not do much on my own and it is not really a very good feeling. i will post some more photos on my blog later. hope the new job is going well.

Hey John and Kara.

It sure is cold I just came back (9.00PM Tuesday) from collecting G son at his outdoor soccer training. Just standing around I froze to death.
Sad to hear you were cold Peter, we have been getting up at 5.30 am all week so I can also say I have experienced some of Melbourne's brutal and unrelenting spring morning weather!!!

When's it gonna abate?

Well?

Please tell me Peter, please????
Reply
lol he has a good point ya know johnbateman!

Gimme freezing spring mornings that turn out delightfull in the afternoon than the endless hot humid summer days where it never cools!!!

Hey guys. I am back from China. As for pollution, I did experience some pretty bad air pollution in Beijing but it cleared after a couple of days and then it was fine. Not sure where it went!! Rivers can be quite dirty, think of the yarra with a dishwater look. But I know from pmy last trip that some of the countryside is pristine and as beautiful as any scene from NZ (e.g. look up the Yunnan Province). Maybe Lord of the Rings could be shot in China next time! <img src='http://www.melbournechat.org/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Smile' />

Hi Kara.

Good to hear BF is OK.

I'm OK.

Just waiting for my Tuesday walking partner to arrive.

This walk will be along the bike track straight down the center of St. Georges Rd. from Preston South to almost Fitzroy North.

That's from the badlands to the goodlands.

After that, a couple of hours chatting and coffee in the spanking new McDs Preston.

Ah! Bliss!

May I say heaps better than Starbucks. (So I'm told).

So are you a "Cup" fan?

I'm not, I don't trust jockeys at all!

Oh maybe if all the jockeys were female then I would trust them.

Lady jockeys seem to be fair dinkem.

Anyway I maybe thrust into a sweep against my will!

If it wins I'll take the money.

And please tell John B that even the Black Caps will beat Australia at cricket these days!
Peter J. both me and my father refer to the Black Caps as The Black Craps,

They can't even beat Bangaladesh!!

The ashes should be fascinating, Kara hates the cricket so this 5 test tour will no doubt cause irreperable repair to our thriving and fullfilling relationship!!

She really is the best.

A couple of days ago I asked her "If we ever broke up could we at least still go out on dates together and spend all our time together?"

I think I may be strange, or in love, or strange and in love.

How could Kara or anyone resist that?

PS. Kara, will you marry me?
Hi Cara Kara.

I take that as a YES!

Not so sure about Utah Land?

Does one must become a Mormon to indulge in this multi wife caper?

Will we need to speak real old like Thee, Thou, Thou art, Thine?

I hope so cos I like those old words and old world charm.

Mainly cos it suits old me.

Once we are Mormons can we skip town and leave old Black Cap farming by hand plough!

Or perhaps we can roll in the hay he reaps!
Only took me 21 days to reply to this post.

Yes. Thou wouldn't haveith toeth becometh anith mormanith toith partakith inith thisith mulitwifith thingith.

Imagine the rewards, just imagine them.

Did you imagine them?

Kiwis like to come to Australia to remind themselves how wonderful NZ is. You can't appreciate it till you lose it!!!

Speaking of which, I got to see a NZ movie the other day. It was from 1981! It was called "Battle Truck" ....also known as "Warlords of the 21st Century". It is sort of like Mad Max. It was shot in Otago on the South Island of NZ.
