Hi there,
I am emigrating to Melbourne very soon with my family to start a new job and a new life.
The company employing me has offered me a company car with job or money in my wages and I buy my own. Here in the UK you get taxed quite heavily by the goverment through your wages having a company car and when your wages go over a certain limit you move onto a higher tax band and hence you pay even more for the vehicle! Can anyone tell me in there opinion if this is the case in Victoria, and is a company car a bad move in relation to the tax over buying your own?
Any information would be gratefully appreciated.
Mark
