I have not heard of this one before. What Are Some Of Your Favorite Australian Films? - petersj - 05-03-2011 I watched News Front again and it looks even better than on its first release. It gives a superb insight into the old news reels we saw in the movies in the old days. The images are wonderful not to mention beautiful direction and flawless acting. It was a huge hit on its first release and in many ways rejuvenate the Australian film industry arguably even more than Hanging Rock. It has stood the test of time remarkably. Another great one is Wake IN Fright but be warned that kangaroo hunt is still very hard to watch.
