I don't know about anyone else but I have an idea that new members shouldn't be able to send personal messages until they hit a certain post count as I've been getting some spam in my inbox <img src='http://www.melbournechat.org/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/dry.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='<_<' />

Please let me know who spammed.
I had previously blocked PM's from new members but then they couldn't write to me with a simple question.
So I turned PM for new members on recently.
Anyone who spams via PM is banned forever straight away. Please report to me straight away.

EDIT: I just reduced the number of PM's a new member can send to reduce the risk of spamming.

These two idiots... "angel khalifa" and "christiana"... you can see them in my profile.
Zero post count - 100% annoying - odd stuff too, basically love letters and email links...
Normally I wouldn't care as I could disable my PM, but it then cuts the good guys and girls out.

Also seems that a person called "Mariam" was spamming so I just banned that one. I will look at the others.

Just as an update, it seems that Mariam and angel khalifa sent a few hundred messages to members. Apologies for this. I will try to ensure this does not happen again.
If you received an indecent proposal from either of these two, them please do not try and write to these 2 scammers!!! They are low life scum bags.

I just deleted about 4 accounts. Seems like the scammers were based in Senegal judging from their IP numbers.
