Hi guys,
Let me introduce myself, I'm Bdot and from Toronto, Canada.
I'll be in Melbourne for a really short time next week from the 15th until the 17th. I'm staying at a Hostel in the downtown. I'm looking to meet Melbournians that are into the music scene and don't mind showing an out of towner around for an afternoon or in the evening? I'm a rocker at heart but I listen to a very wide range of music. I hear that Melbourne has a fantastic live music scene.
Also wondering...if anyone has recommendations on Phillip Island. I want to view the Penguin Parade but I'd prefer not to get stuck on a tour bus. I'd like to wing it and explore the island without any restrictions, but I don't think I would be comfortable renting a car and driving. Do you know if the island is small enough to rent a bicycle and explore the sites on my own? Or is anyone interested in seeing Phillip Island that wants to play tour guide? I'm willing to pay for gasoline etc.
Thanks so much! I can't wait to see Melbourne!
