Hi Me and My husband, then boyfriend lived in melbourne for a year in 1999, we loved it, since being back in the uk we got a mortgage, got married, and had three sons, we are always undecided on where our future lies but have now decided that we want to be there in Melbourne. In March, we are coming back for a trip with all the kids 6,4 and 2 in tow, to see if our memories are as we remember, (if that makes sense).
Does anyone have any advice, I d love to hear what you think how long does the emergation take, does it cost a lot, is live as fab as i remember.

hi karen, the main change is that the price of houses has increased a lot.
otherwise melbourne is still nice!!!

Hi Karen.
My daughter and son in law did the immigration thing from London (where they did live).
Best to check it out at Australia House. (If that is still what it is called).
The red tape takes a while and I believe it is not cheap.
A lot depends upon what professions you have to offer.
