Hotel With Best View Of St Kilda Beach

Hello everyone!



My girlfriend's birthday is coming up soon and I want to surprise here with a night in a hotel in St Kilda (we've been staying in a cheap backpackers in the CBD for a while so I reckon this will make a nice change). Ideally I want a clean, modern place with the usual facilities (TV, fridge, bathroom etc) and a view of Port Phillip Bay. After playing around with Google I've found Novotel and a couple of others but I thought I'd ask the board if anyone has a recommendation. I'm possibly willing to swap a view of Port Phillip Bay with a view of the CBD if it's a really nice room and/or has a balcony. I'm prepared to spend around $100-$200 and it'll be on a weeknight.

I would head stright to wotif.com.au. Sometimes they have those "mystery hotels" for cheap and with a bit of googling from their description you can usually guess where the hotel is. i did that when i was in perth and we ended up at the hilton.
