Drinks Get Together May 3Rd
#1
Hi guys,

it seems that a lot of people are here to meet new friends, so why don't we actually catch up?

i was thinking that it might be nice to spend few hours in a relaxed venue so we can chat and finally find the fun buddies we are all looking for. [Image: gathering.gif]

So, if you are keen, come down to The Brunswick Green, 313 Sydney Road, Brunswick (opposite to Savers), on Tuesday 3rd of May, 6.30pm.

We can have few drinks, a bite to eat, chat and fun.

I hope to have a positive response by a lot of people here [Image: dance.gif]

I would be up for it for sure but I can't on a weekday as my work is very full on, in the CBD and no guarantee I'll be out by 6pm. Awesome idea though

You can always come later on. But we can organize something on a weekend too sometimes [Image: piwo.gif]

Hi Kirin,

Good of you to organise this. I would suggest all those new to Melbourne to join Kirin in this get together. I am sure you all will have lots of fun. Sorry I will not be able to make it since I too work in the CBD and I take the public transport to work.

Maybe those who are working in CBD can get together and have the same type of meet up??? Hmmmm......

Cheers

Sydney Road is pretty convenient to reach with public transport. I work in South Melbourne, but you just need to catch tram 19 from Elizabeth Street or Vic Market towards North Coburg. It will take 10-15 mins and the tram stop is nearly in front of the pub (jump off when you see Savers on the right hand side....the Brunswick Green is just opposite to it), sorry I can't remember the exact stop number.

If you are coming, let me know before Monday night so I will know how many people to expect.

Wear something red and meet me at 6.30pm outside the pub. Whoever comes later on can walk in the pub and stop at the table with the Reds [Image: rolleyes.gif]

Hi Kirin,

Some of the review of this pub is good. So, I will postpone my appointment and meet you all there.

Would be good to do something with people but not overly fond of pubs or drinking at the moment, not overly.

Being in a pub doesn't force you to drink till you drop dead [Image: officechair.gif]

you can get a lemon lime bitter or tap water for what that matters, drinking/eating is not compulsory, come and try to know new people is [Image: gathering.gif]

so, who else is in?

What I read is that it is an open concept pub where you can sit outside for a nice meal with a glass of wine. That sounds decent.

Maybe for the next round, we will do something far away from the pub <img src='http://www.melbournechat.org/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wacky.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':wacky:' /> .

Then you have the dreaded smokers to contend with!! It's all good, I've hardly been on here lately and don't have that much free time.
