Melbourne Wedding Suggestions

Hello there!



I am an Irish girl in a bit of a predicament..and I need your help!

My aussie boyfriend and I are currently living in Dublin, Ireland. We very recently discussed getting married this january whilst we are holidaying in Melbourne. Everything will depend on the availablilty of venues, costs and of course, if its actually humanly possible to organise a wedding in 7 months for the other side of the world!!!! (I must be mad!!!)

So this is where I need the help of all you lovely Melbourne folk.

I have only been to Melbourne twice before so would not be very familiar with decent wedding reception venues, so suggestions would be great! We would be looking for somewhere that has a lovely outdoor area and really good food (bf is a chef, so high standards)

I would ideally love to have an alternative type wedding but i dont know what options are out there. I am coming to you for help as we are not telling our families until we have decided it is definitely an option.

I got married here recently and it was great! Though you have to make sure you get the band who can do a fun floor show.

Are you still looking for info about organising a wedding in Melb? If you are, let me know - I know a great celebrant, cake maker, event planner and photographer! (All VERY reasonable!)
