Online Shopping?
#1
Hi All,

I'm new here. Been looking for an Australian community forum for ages. Do anyone know of any others besides Melbourne Chat?

Anyway, I've not really bought anything off the net unless its a well known website. Afraid of scams and the like. Does anyone know where

I can find quality clothing online? I've googled some websites but not sure if their service is good or just scam websites. Can someone recommend

a good online store? I'm looking for women's clothing in particular.

Thanks

Hi Zoe

I am new in this chat <img src='http://www.melbournechat.org/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Smile' />, and I am happy I can already help!!!

I come from Italy, been living here for 10 years, and am very busy with work and kids. I love online shopping!!! In Italy, I used to buy a 100% MADE IN ITALY (no crap...) label called FRANCO BOMBANA, e now, finally, I found a shop that sells it online and sell discounted!!!!! I contacted the owner, and bought 1 top (I used to love their tops, SO COMFY and lasting and they dry quick as!) but wasn't sure why they were kind of cheaper than in Italy... well, she sells what is left over of the "last" season in Italy (Italians are obsessed with seasons!!!). Check her store at:

http://stores.ebay.com.au/My-Italian-Clo...y-and-Tops

The owner is a lovely lady living in Melbourne, who is obsessed with Italian hosiery and clothing... <img src='http://www.melbournechat.org/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Smile' /> she also has a website at www.myitaliancloset.com.au

Well, there are many others, but just top of my mind, because I received notification of eBay opening of her store, hope this helps... Try 1 top, and you'll see, Zoe, you'll love them...

Ciao ciao then, hope to see other posts on other online shops!!!

Hi Zoe

I agree with Marghe... online shopping is ESSENTIAL for busy women! And it really doesn't matter where you are toooooo much as long as it's Australian (for reduced postal costs AND getting the sizes right :-)) and sites with great service. I have a great fettish for beautiful shoes and am a mad shopper with Style Tread www.styletread.com.au. They deliver and take exchange if the size is wrong... quite amazing and a great range.

What are you looking for specifically?

Hi Miss Bling

Love the name by the way... I've been to Sytletred too and had a great experience. I bought some great beige suede boots but they were the wrong size. Styletred picked them up and replaced them - it was like 48 hours. Amazing. So although they're not discount, they're great for me as I just can't seem to make it to the shops these days.

Glad to hear someone else is enjoying online shopping... and I love that it's really gaining ground in Australia... finally!

I would much rather do my shopping in person. It's more fun browsing through real things than it is looking at pictures. And you get what you buy straight away. I bought a new pair of shoes an hour ago and they're sitting beside me in a bag as I type this and I've already shown them to four people.

That said, I have bought some things online, but generally just items that I can't get locally...

Don't fear online shopping, just learn what you need to see to know you're safe giving over your credit card info.

You might also like asos.com. It varies from cheap to designer prices. If it doesn't fit, you just return it to them (should be free to do this soon) and they'll refund you!

Found a small Australian based website selling online clothes. I bought 2 jeans from there. Their prices are reasonable.

Hi,

Yes OZ is also fine. If you want to buy brands clothing at very lowest pries, you can visit rushk and if a lady want to buy bedding, quilts and other home accessories like towels etc of famous brands then Elan Linen is the best.

But you have to make the final descision.
