I'm new to Melbourne (and Australia for that matter), arrived here 2 months ago from Europe, and love everything about this place!

The only thing is that I don't really know anybody here and am starting to get bored of the fact that I'm seeing everything by myself...

I read in some topics that you guys organize meetings and things like that, I'm interrested in learning more about that!

Melbourne is such an amazing place and I want to see as much as I can before my work hours increase dramatically <img src='http://www.melbournechat.org/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

The sunset from a tall building...the night lights from the bridge over the yarra river...visit all the parks and the museums...listen to an indie rock band in an Australian pub (never been to one of these yet heheh)...have a hot chocolate in a little cafe hidden in a small street in the city...I can go on for ever.... <img src='http://www.melbournechat.org/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

I'm new to Melbourne too and it's been tough meeting other people. I'm definitely up for exploring the city and heading to some pubs for a few pints (stubs?). I've been to a few pubs that's super awesome, but kinda a bore on my own, so totally know where you're coming from. I want to check out a few festivals and other sites... maybe the botanical gardens when it gets uber warm!

Interesting to hear if your work hours have now increased dramatically or not? Did you get to see a bit of the lovely city. The tennis being on is quite exciting at the moment.
