Melbourne Breast Cancer Bra Walk
#1
The Pinker Sisters invite you to join them at an event to raise awareness about breast cancer - the Melbourne Breast Cancer Bra Walk.

Our sister's breast cancer experience gave us a very real understanding of the challenges a woman faces as she navigates through treatment and beyond. Every step a woman takes requires care, sensitivity and support by those around her. We are passionate about helping women like our sister.

Our aim is to raise awareness about breast cancer within the community and to support Breast Cancer Network Australia as they work to ensure women diagnosed with breast cancer, and their families, receive the very best treatment, care and support possible, not matter who they are or where they live.

Who:

This event is family friendly and anyone in the community can participate to show their support.

When & Where:

Sunday 30th October 2011 – Register at 9:30 and walk at 10am, Federation Square.

What:

The event is a walk to celebrate and honour family and friends affected by breast cancer.

Cost:

$20 per person / 16 years and over

$40 per family (unlimited children 15 and under)

Walk:

The walk will begin at Federation Square, travel along Birrarung Marr, cross Swan Street Bridge and travel back along the bank of the Yarra River finishing at Federation Square. The walk is approximately 2.5km and is wheelchair and pram friendly.

What to wear:

We encourage participants to find creative ways to wear a bra. As this is a family event minimal skin or no exposure is preferred!

Families or teams can choose to dress in pink/blue themes. Prizes to the best dressed family, team and individuals will be awarded on the day. [Image: animation2.gif]
